Here’s how a normal school handles a FB coordinator getting a low-level (first, not aggravating) dui

he was arrested for drunk driving at 2:12 a.m. The Ducks announced later that day it had begun the process of his termination.

"Reaves has been placed on administrative leave and the process to terminate his employment with cause has commenced," Oregon AD Rob Mullens said in a statement. "The University has high standards for the conduct of employees and is addressing this matter with the utmost of seriousness."

Wow. Placed on leave, then terminated. Huh.

Let us springboard off this statement, to guess what a statement from MSdUi would look like:

"The University has low standards for the conduct of employees and is addressing this matter with the utmost of due process. WAAC, baby!"  :o

Anyone recall how coach DeCuire and UM dealt with Jordan Gregory after he was arrested for a DUI?

He was suspended immediately and didn't go on the road with the team for the 2 games on the weekend. Haslam spoke about what was being done on the Monday morning after the incident. Don't know what happened after that.

“We are aware of the incident involving Jordan,” UM athletic director Kent Haslam told MTN Sports on Monday. “He is still a graduate assistant with the basketball program but will not be with them this week when they play at Idaho State and Weber State. What happens beyond that is still to be decided.”

FWIW Nebraska parted way with the tight ends coach sent down the road after a 1:30 am DUI:

That simply can't be. We all know you cannot fire a coach arrested for a DUI. Why, just ask any bub fan.

You are saying that Cat fans are all agreeing about the way MSU is handling this? Totally false. Haven’t met one yet that agrees with the way it is being handled. I know a lot that have been very vocal about it.

Vocal toward whom? You know, I know, and the late Bob Dole knows that these fu*ks will coach the entire season, you will all celebrate any successes, and then bow to your Supreme Leader.

Wait, did they know all the facts before making him resign? We know it takes nearly 300 days or more to learn all the facts. I mean, we know the Bub DC was drunk, sped down Main Street, puked on someone at the hospital, it was his third offense, and he was given a raise. But, do we know if his fingernails had been trimmed? What about the music playing in the car at the time? It could mean he’s completely innocent. We have to know all the facts before making any decisions, guys.

Bullshit.

No bub is being vocal about it. If they were, MsdUi "leadership" would be forced to take action.

I don't go to bcn, but I'm going bet there hasn't been a negative post of this issue in months. On here, ILTC has been against the handling, but he's a top shelf dude.

The other bubs are all, "well it don't look so good. But we don't know the whole story and we trust our Great Leader is doing everything perfectly".

So as I said, bullshit

Wasn't there a post from one of the bozeman fans about how when we finally find out what happened we will really impressed by the wise leadership of the bozeman regime? It's all pretty silly, sort of like flat-earth believers.

Troy Anderson just did a “I don’t drive drunk commercial.” Saw it on Instagram. It was nice to see and he represented Montana well. Montana ranked #1 for the most drunk drivers according to Forbes Advisor (November 2022). 8.39 drivers per 100,000 were involved in a fatal crash involving alcohol. Simply unacceptable. 6.92 people were killed in a crash involving a drunk driver for every 100,000 state residents, both the highest in the country. Stats come directly from the article and as a native of Montana I find it extremely troubling to see those numbers.

Good for Troy.

The commercial should have been done as a public service announcement by former MsdUi coaches as a condition of their release.

This is total trash. Do you kiss your mother with that lying trap of a mouth?
99% of bubs agree this is being handled perfectly. You know how I know that? Because I have not read a god damned thing to suggest otherwise. Have you? Show me.
In fact, Skyline’s official position on the matter is that DUIs make assistant coaches more valuable and the MSdUi admin confirmed this analysis by giving him a raise! Both of those truths are supported in writing before this very thread. Do you have any evidence to support your speculation?
My neighbor was gushing this morning about how it’s the catz year to win it all. I asked him if any of this garbage gives him concern, and he said not at all because the coordinators “will serve their jail time during the next offseason.”
Like he was proud of it and looking forward to that eventuality. They’re planning on it in bubtown

It should be obvious from day 1 that the fix is in. 'Due process' is just the quick way of saying nothing will be done, WAAC! They already got their raises and any court dates are pushed til after the season. Prosecutor is already dismissing real charges. BOR/Commish need to step in and do their damned jobs. Failing that, NCAA intervention.

Once you have the congregation sufficiently brainwashed, you can get away with practically anything. If one of the sub-leaders does something wrong, the congregation will look to you for your reaction. If the sub-leader in question is important to furthering the cause of the cult, you should simply say you don't know the facts and never speak of it again. If he/she is not important to the cult, cut him or her loose. Trust me, the congregation will think you made the right decision no matter what you choose. Even if they disagree with it, they will never question you. They will instead question themselves and believe that you must have a good reason to do what you've done or not done. They will come up with outlandish excuses and explanations for your actions/inactions. They will continue to kneel before their Great Leader.
