No. It would depend on the facts and a quick evaluation of situation including getting some input from counsel for the coach. Likely some suspension. Likely announcement of the action taken and some info on what’s going on. Probably no raise or renewal except possible conditional renewal. If it looked like dui would be dropped or renewed quickly, then probably less action taken.

MSU’s relative silence and inaction is a bad route and is hurting MSU. Each dui had had exacerbating facts. Way worse than Few’s. Unless it was likely that the DC’s charge was going to go away quickly, he should have been pushed to resign or fired. His third? Please. Sorry guys. You F’ed up. Resolve the charges or move on.

The DC should never have gotten a raise. Suspending an asst coach for a longer period of time is not a big deal.

What is MSU going to do if these guys get convicted.? Doing what MSU has done appears to be a huge mistake.

Times have changed.

So it all depends on the situation, and we all know very little of these situations that happened with MSU coaches. The few details we do know, as I stated earlier, the optics aren't good. I know there are more details to exactly what transpired in both cases, and that information will come out. I have no idea about the raise thing, but at some point Vigen and\or Costello will have to explain that.

As stated, I don't know any more than what was reported, have just heard some complaints, unsubstantiated rumors about the way the cops handled the situation. This should all come out via review of vest cam, dash cam, etc.

Here is what I can promise you though. When Waded, Costello, and Vigen had a meeting after this happened, at no point in that meeting did Waded ask..... "So if we do the suspension thing, how is that going to impact the Win\Loss record?" Despite what CDA and a bunch of others are posting. (I know CDA doesn't actually believe this is how it went down, as he just plays that card to get a rise out of the Cat posters on here, as that's his schtick) Cue his funny bunny creative post in 3..2..1..

Dude, they’re not going to have to explain anything. There is zero accountability for the MSU leadership.

It’s crazy how this has gone from “Well, he was just arrested; there must be more to the story” almost 300 days ago, to “Well, he was was arrested almost 300 days ago, reportedly puked on a nurse, allowed full access to the program the whole time, got a contract renewal and raise, the OC was arrested for a DUI coverup scheme, the university refuses to address it, the criminal hearing dates have vanished, and the media refuses to ask about any of it, so there must be more to the story”.

Yeah, I think there’s quite a bit more to the story.

So are you suggesting there wasn’t a discussion about and then a coordinated effort to keep the entire story under wraps so it wouldn’t negatively affect the program? Because that’s CLEARLY what has taken place. I’m not sure anyone said anything about win/loss records per se. But the result is still 100% WAAC.

that is not true. what is true is that of all this belly aching and complaining not a single complainer has taken the initiative to go and ask for a copy of the report or for the court records.

When are their next criminal hearings? I’ve scoured that portal and can only find hearing dates for their separate, civil petitions against the State to get their licenses back.

If you know it’s not true, then you must know the dates of the criminal hearings. When are they?

So, earlier when you refuted my assertion that their criminal court dates have vanished by saying, “that is not true”, was that just speculation? I mean, you seemed pretty sure of it by saying “that is not true”. But are you able to provide the dates? The Gallatin County Court web portal (as shitty as it is) has all kinds of criminal cases available to view, including DUIs. None involving these two MSU coordinators.

...you can walk in and get the information. sometimes the best way to do something is the old fashioned way not thru portals.....

It’s truly precious that he doesn’t have any details beyond what’s been reported, BUT CAN make a promise about what was/wasn’t discussed in a meeting for which he wasn’t present. The Bobfan denial is hilariously sad.

Does this mean you don’t know the hearing dates? I mean, because earlier, you said it was false that they had vanished with the confidence of a prisoner who had served a dime in San Quentin. Just asking for the dates if you’re so sure they haven’t vanished. Reasonable request for a person who was called out by someone claiming what he said is untrue, I would think.

They are the perfect subjects for a complete WAAC agenda. Believe anything they are told by their almighty Leaders.

Hell in this case they believe anything NOT told by their almighty Leaders. It makes WAAC so easy when no one questions anything you do.

This is how is happens. You take a fan base that is sick and tired of sucking donkey balls at everything. You feed them some success, no matter how small, and they thank you. You say, “See, there you go, little minions.” Their eyes light up, and you know you can do whatever the fuck you want forever because they believe you are smarter than they are.

“Holy shit, Randy! We beat the Griz a few times!”
“I know, Cledus. We have this on the right track!”

Then, when anything goes wrong, they will follow you off a cliff and defend any of your actions/inactions with veracity. You answer to nobody. You’ve already secured their devotion because you’ve given them the sweet nectar of brief success that they’ve craved for decades.

And that’s how cults are formed.

Here’s how a normal school handles a FB coordinator getting a low-level (first, not aggravating) dui

he was arrested for drunk driving at 2:12 a.m. The Ducks announced later that day it had begun the process of his termination.

"Reaves has been placed on administrative leave and the process to terminate his employment with cause has commenced," Oregon AD Rob Mullens said in a statement. "The University has high standards for the conduct of employees and is addressing this matter with the utmost of seriousness."

'Normal' is the descriptive term you used. In MSdUi's CASES, there's nothing normal about it's administrative people and governing philosophy. I think these events could, and should, bring down their administration, coaching staff, and possibly end football at MSdUi. The BOR and Commish haven't stepped in and kicked ass, so maybe they go, too.
