Reporting Live! From bozo

I enjoy Colters take on a lot of things, especially highlighting Montana athletes from around the State at the high school and collegiate level as well as his coverage of the Big Sky as a whole.

My knock at this point would be simply that he gave a fiery response to criticism on this board directly and stated that he was working on a special edition podcast the very next week to address the issue and his thoughts on the different factors influencing coverage. To my knowledge we did not see anything for the next several weeks.

I do know that he has spoken about some issues in his show in bits and pieces here and there, but far from the exposé he promised to deliver. Negative feedback shouldn’t have bearing on his intent given the position that he took nor as a journalist. Feel free to correct me if I missed such an episode.

Actions speak louder than words.

Inactions speak even louder.

Colter should move his SWX show to Bozeman and be done with the charade.

Welp. Guess we’ll turn around at the next exit. I was going to give another Live! report today from the Gelatin Valley “Justice” Center.

How do you know all this? There are no written stories. Where else is it being reported?

I’d save your gas on Wednesday. If Coach Three’s simple one got continued, this one with more layers almost certainly will be continued.

In Boozeman, even the judges are WAAC

It’s like what the old civil judges where I live say when they get lazy: “Well, it doesn’t sound like the parties are ready, so I’m going to ‘put this over’ (phrase always makes me laugh) until January. I think these will have to wait until after football season.

It's at the very end of this news story from his initial hearing back in June

You guys want reporters ran out of town for reporting negatively about UM, but you also want reporters ran out of town for not reporting negatively on MSU.

So, Houseparty's hearing is tomorrow. What about the other guy involved?
Housewright's is on Wednesday, not tomorrow! Garza's is next Wednesday the 16th, and I have no idea when Mix's is. I thought I heard a rumor a while back that his was also on the 9th but I'm not totally sure.

Incorrect. We want fair coverage of each program. We’re not WAAC.

Housewright crashed his vehicle near the intersection of Cottonwood and Patterson.
Are you familiar with this neighborhood? Seems like the yuppie village down there. I’ve been out there before and it’s really not that far from campus but Patterson dead ends into a creek. If you don’t make that corner, I don’t think you will make it far.
Do any staff or MSdUi admin live out there? Isn’t that near the president mansion and coach Sixx’s home?

Gotcha - Summary for book keeping:

Houseparty - 9th.
Whiskey Malt liquor Gin - 16th.
Mixed Drink - 9th or TBD.

My favorite part of trying to find out about that just now was finding out that Vigen doesn't even actually live in Bozeman proper. He is as far away from actual Bozeman as a person could be and say they live there.

Do you think it is because he, reasonably, hates the city of Bozeman? Or is he just afraid of all the drunk drivers he brought in and unleashed on the community? Important questions are rising to the surface here.

Oh I will be there again with bells on.
Cow bells.
Someone has to cover this story.
Maybe that should be my news slogan:
Willing to be found in a corn field near Belgrade to provide the real depth and passion the big sky conference deserves.

I have no idea but it seems like a ritzy part of “town.” Not super far from campus but still kind of in the sticks. Bozo is weird like that. Still a cow town on the fringe. Nothing out there. Mostly fancy houses and some little ranchettes. I don’t think there’s any bars or a college scene. I think I’ve seen elk not far from the crash scene. Would love to have a bubcat chime in here?
I suspect he was coming from some Houseparty at one of those really nice places out there. Just a guess; I have no idea. What else is out there? I highly doubt he can afford to live out there on an assistant’s salary and I assume Mix does not live in that neighborhood either, he had only been in town a few weeks.
So maybe that’s the reason for the big hush-hush and cover up? What if they were both at some important Houseparty, like a booster or worse, a state employee?
Did you know the state’s dram shop act uses the word “purveyor.”
You know, I’ve always liked that word, “purveyor.”

So, did the MSdUi OC crash into the creek before trying to cover it up and flee the scene, or was it in a different location? Was there another car or house involved? When did he call the RB coach? Or did he even call? Was it someone else he called in that neighborhood who tried to “take care of it”? Why no police report? Why the sudden change in MSdUi policy following the second/third incidents? Why the extensions/raises with all of these criminal charges pending? It’s all buried deep down for now, because there is a game in less than a month. You may be our only hope to ever learn anything about these alleged criminals’ alleged crimes because the Bozeman media does not give a single fuck about drunk driving.

Well he certainly seems to post every second of every sentence he says on the front page of eGriz, and I don’t think I saw any posting of that content.

Serious question. What negative news about U of M? Hauck has run one damn clean program since his return. Unbelievable actually. His players tow the line. Coaches lead by example. I don’t remember anything popping up, but I could have missed something. Certainly not a coach or two getting DUI’s. State owned vehicles, lying to law enforcement, combative in the ER (rumored on the last part). I don’t remember that kind of negative at U of M. Maybe I am going senile though.
