Of course Coulter can do as he wishes. No one has suggested he cannot.

What we're saying is he cannot call himself a journalist if he doesn't cover the largest sports story in Montana in years (it is), and will not ask difficult questions at the risk of pissing someone off. Sorry. Those things are listed one and two in a journalist's job description.

If he wants to say, "I'm a writer of fluff pieces on sports; nothing but roses and rainbows here!!", that's awesome. Just don't hold yourself out as a journalist if you are not.

Spot on. A butcher who only sharpens knives is just a knife-sharpener. Plenty of room in the world for knife-sharpeners, but they aren’t butchers.

Sometimes they’re only willing to cut certain types of meat

CGD coming to Bozeman and watching the Cats dismantle the griz in the best rivalry game in the country, was the biggest sports story in the state. Not a couple dumbass Cat coaches getting charged (No convictions at this point) with DUIs.

K. So, the Game Day crew’s worst experience ever happened in November, the same day that your first dumbass coach (your words) got popped for his third DUI. His criminal case is ongoing, as is the other criminal case for a coach who got arrested for a DUI coverup scheme involving another coach who couldn’t legally drive.

The message MSU is sending is as follows:
First: Get a DUI and get fired.
Second: Get a second DUI and some bad recruiting violations and get fired.
Third: We’ll hire you.
Fourth: Get a third DUI and we’ll give you a raise.

The media won’t ask about it. That’s why you don’t think it’s a big story.

It's newsworthy, it's somewhat of an interesting story, but I just don't think there is much additional info out there about these things. I mean sure, you can talk till you're blue in the face about why there were no paid suspensions while the legal process plays out, but that's about it.

I don't even think this will be the "Biggest Sports Story in the State" IF both coaches get convicted of the charges. I do know there will be some pretty serious consequences for them if that does happen though.

I understand your point the the actual alleged crimes don’t have much information about which to ask. I don’t understand why the media (and seemingly much of the fan base) refuses to question the decision-making of the MSU leadership in the interim. The incidents aren’t the issue. Dumbass coaches (your words) do what they do. It’s what the people in charge have/haven’t done in response to said incidents that makes the story. Sure, let them coach with criminal charges pending. Makes you trashy, but you’re used to it. To give a fucking raise to a guy with his third DUI teed up is absolutely batshit crazy.

I agree. MSU"s odd and curious handling of this matter is, well, odd and curious, and I think almost without precedent in this day and age. And MSU's releases and statements make little sense, and, having been a lawyer for 45 years. Some of the statements are borderline dishonest. My opinion of the MSU president has declined considerably. Does she and MSU really not know how much this is hurting MSU's reputation.

While I disagree with Poor on most things, I completely don't agree with his view that this won't be a big deal if the guys are convicted or plea to anything serious. I think that would be huge, and will make MSU's to-date handling look even worse. And, if so, what will MSU do? Say that it better not happen again?

This is exactly correct. Why do some posters miss the point?...in this case the point is quite simple.

Skyline lists their professional category on Twitter as Journalism...

Does anyone else feel like said sporting news company puts out more bubcrap than Griz stuff? Maybe it’s just me but it seems like most of what is posted here is already 51%+ bubcrap infused. I don’t go looking for it so I wouldn’t know but I assume they put out more written bubcrap too. I realize the bubs have been more successful recently and probably deserve more coverage, does that mean said company has more depth and passion dedicated to bub stories? More “journalists” dedicated to that beat too? Or maybe just more dedicated journalist?

By Jove, I think you've got it! Singular.

I haven't watched Colter since Tootel left. So, I really don't know what he is spewing...or care.

Could someone please post a link to the job description of a journalist listing these two requirements as one and two. Is this from a textbook or some professional requirements. I just have never heard of these requirements before and suspect they may be made up. What, something made up on egriz? no way

"...the key objective of a journalist is to gather information, write newspapers, and present the news in an honest, balanced manner.

In addition to investigating and reporting on current events, they also work on articles and features that update and influence public opinion.e

...journalists are responsible for collecting, writing, and disseminating news information to the public. Reporters ficus on collecting and disseminating news." --Google.

😂😂😂😂 CDA tell me you’re the little bro without saying you’re the little bro. Instead of worrying about our coordinators you should worry about stopping the run.

Did you cry out for justice when Missoula was the rape capital of the US? I don’t remember it.

55-21 with 2 drunk coordinators! 😂😂😂 it’s okay lil bro.

Missoula was never the rape capital of US. I'm only aware of one during that time. What you got?

Big day tomorrow in court! Garizzlies, are you gonna be in attendance tomorrow?
Of course. Real passion and depth doesn't rest, altho I’m in a bozo hotel about to crash which is something I said I’d never do (spend money in Bozo outside of cat/Griz day). Could be the real crime here. Bozo hotels are ridiculous. Good gravy, this is a month’s rent back home. How does anyone survive in this hell hole? Bunch of yuppie pretenders and certainly no Ruby’s.

Holly dear sweat baby Jesus. This is my first post. I have read many posts over the years on this forum but have never commented because quite frankly I haven’t wanted to be subject to such idiocy. However, I’m getting kinda grumpy in my old age so here I am. I’m sorry but most posters on this site are just well, fkn pathetic. Do you not have anything else in your lives to get you through the days? It makes Griz fans look so bad with this persistent “let’s find anything we possibly can to make the cats look bad”. It’s pretty simple, the cats are kicking our ass in just about every way possible but that probably won’t last. Just shut the fk up and save face, it will more than likely change in the future to the Griz dominating again. You make this proud fan base look like a bunch of little bitches looking for any little possible thing to make the cats look bad. Oh, and shut the fk up about trying to stroke your fragile ego about being a complete piece of shit human/ lawyer and such. Nobody fking cares. That is all…

Holy shit!!! You mean they may have to miss TWO practices??? While being paid!!!??? Fuck. That IS serious.
