[/b] Most people don't understand the communication and personal understanding of the guy next to you that it takes to form a good offensive line. This will be the most continuity we have had in years. And, obviously they will be bigger, stronger, and faster than last year. That is the nature of guys in their early 20's being in the weight room all the time.

We had other players come in out of necessity that played very strong and did not show a drop off. That is why I start talking about depth.

Take a lesson from your guy Touchdown Tommy. We're still people over here, and we aren't automatically idiots who know nothing just because MSU beat us last year and had a better season. We have a better team than you think we do, and there is evidence that we have a very solid and deep offensive line. Of course we still have plenty left to prove, but the depth of our line is not nearly as laughable as you have been stating.

MSU rushed the ball considerably more and had a QB duo who stretched out plays so Yes we had more TFL. We also played more games, more playoff teams etc.

MSU also had an honorable mention player. If you’re shocked about Walker then it’s fair for me to say more players could have garnered awards had they not gotten injured.

MSU’s line has also been together awhile.

When you say things like “we’re deep” or “excellent” at position groups and I call you out or want to hear more than just “we’re awesome” you shouldn’t get butt hurt and instead have dialog like any forum should. I also don’t think it’s “laughable” but from my research and who you have returning outside of just the offensive line, I don’t see a shining spot. As I recall as of late, the offense has been a thorn in the side for UM. This board doesn’t do itself any favors in the category of normalcy or thoughtful dialog. Instead it indulges in “cats are little bro” “we will win the conference” “what if we lose half our conference games and win the natty” threads.

There’s two sides of the coin. I have had thoughtful dialog and I’ve also pointed out blind fandom.
Are you like 14? Your entire argument has been "The Griz can't be good because the cats are good".

He's absolutely right that you're either incredibly dense, or just trolling.

There is no butt hurt in pointing out that it is a circular and pointless conversation. Picture it like this. A group of people who are fans of a team are standing around debating about it. You, the fan of a rival team, walks up to the group and starts pointing and laughing. It's not being "butt hurt" to point out that you are a being what is called a troll on the internet, or just a jackass if it was real life. Regardless of what I say or produce, you're just going to say it is wrong and the Griz offense sucks. It is circular, and this post from you is a case in point.

I never said our line was better than MSU's. I went out of my way to compliment your o-line. I used the fact that they are a good line as a good point of comparison. Of course they have been together for a while.

I never said it wasn't fair of you to say more players could get awards if they weren't injured. I think you are confusing me with someone else. My nephew is a recently graduated scholarshipped athlete from MSU. I am friends with a guy who was one of the MSU coaches until he left in the last few years. I have more personal relationships with families of kids playing for MSU than I do for Missoula. I'm not sure why you act like I have said they suck. The only time I have said anything about the Cats here that could even be construed as negative is when you felt the need to post the video of last year's blowout without acknowledging that those happen, and had just happened to the Cats the year before.

I am not responsible for the board, so I don't really need to defend anyone else for saying the "cats are little bro." The thread about us losing four games and winning the natty was satire based on a post here in the recent past that many of us considered dumb. Consider it like a group of people making an inside joke, and you walk up to the group and say they are stupid when you don't understand what is being talked about.

I just gave you a detailed discussion of the offensive line, and you had no thoughtful dialogue to share other than to defend the Cats from attacks I did not make, and to then turn and go "other positions groups suck." That isn't informed dialogue.

I'm not going to put any more effort into being detailed in that last post. Obviously you don't come to our practices. I know what I saw in the spring, and just like I have no idea what the new Cats team looked like at practice in the spring. I have plenty of faith in our RB room and WR room. I am hopeful about our QB's. It is an informed opinion.

I hope you continue to fly high on your success from last year. Just remember that times always shift, and the Griz will be back on top. The Cats had the 70's, we had the 80's, 90's, and 2000's. You had the late 2010's and into the 2020's. It is just how sports work. It doesn't mean our fanbase is dumber or worse or anything else. Don't say too many words you will have to eat later.

The thing about the Bobcats upcoming season is that they have almost no depth at most positions. Those starters go down and, woof, it'll be tough sledding.

I believe offensive lineman need togetherness( esprit de corps) Jimmy J0hnson, (RIP) and I were undersized linemen, but played side by side for 8 years and actually held our own against people like Merlin Olson and those Wyoming Kids. It was just automatic for each to be there in the right spot at the right time.

While I appreciate you taking this as a personal attack and feeling belittled. I don’t recall calling you or the fan base dumb. I do think the threads on here are a bit colorful and some characters need to see the light. However, it’s nothing more than spirited fun. No reason I can’t disagree with you and ask for evidence to support your claim. You don’t have to respond but you chose to. Glad you like your team this fall, should make for another great BSC year. The rivalry is better with both teams playing well, higher seeds for the Victor.

I’m always willing to bet this ole account against someone else’s. I don’t believe anyone has taken the deal yet.

The comment about how the Cats have a ceiling at the moment in pursuit of a natty because of the inability to pass is correct.
Ha. It’s cute that you think an inability to pass will be the bubs’ limiting factor.

What happened to the bubs’ on-the-field defense (not trial defense)? Seriously, not long ago you guys had a proud defense. Now, the one bub guy posted that he believes they will give up 45 points on average this year. That’s not championship football.

My response was I believed there was a lack of depth. But yea in short I do believe the Cats have a better offense at pretty much every position than the gris this fall. So in short your “gris suck, cats good” isn’t totally off.

Yeah let’s do winner of Cat/gris. Loser deletes account.

Right, but in the entire discussion, I wasn't making that comparison. I was complimentary of the cats, and was not saying "we are deeper than you," although that could be a solid discussion for people to have, I said that this is our most balanced team and deepest offense since Covid. I was comparing Grizzly teams of recent years to the team this upcoming year. So coming in and saying "Cats are better" isn't engaging in discussion at all. That has been the point I, and others, have repeatedly made.

Sounds good. Bookmark this one, and the loser of the Brawl deletes their account.

Also, for the rest of the class, am I the only Griz fan that didn't realize that at the end of this century, whichever team has the most wins gets to permanently keep that trophy? Picked up a book on the history of the rivalry that I stumbled across, and I had somehow not known that.

Oh hell. Of course they did. After both games. And on every other day ending in “y”. Win at all costs, baby!!! If we kill a few innocents, well that’s just the price we all gotta pay to get some bub success!

As I said, I'd take the Griz o-line over the Cat o-line. Cat o-line can't pass block. Cat o-line and scheme are very good for running qb's. Griz don't have running qb's, or at least none except maybe the late transfer.

Griz o-line had a first team all-conference player last season. The Cats didn't. Cats had a 2d teamer. Both Griz and Cats had 3d teamers. I am told that those 2 Griz rank up with the best o-lineman to ever play for the Griz. This info is directly from the program. Griz had multiple big younger players who got some experience last year, and some starts. Griz got a transfer starter from another school. All of last year's starters return. The Cats are welcome to their o-line.

Everett may be the least knowledgeable football poster to ever post on egriz. He doesn't have a clue about the game.

Do not drive, PR. You seem as drunk as Guzzlin Garza.

I'm so overly confident about the team this year. I know that I'm not being entirely logical. Same with my bet with AZ on the Ferris game.

And, hey, if I lose I will have more free time for other hobbies. I'm sure I'll find some.

The msdui coaching staff is definitely a point of interest. The offensive line coach has left along with running backs coach. The offensive coordinator try’s to cover up an alcohol induced wreck who is cited for DUI and the new running backs coach participates in the cover up. All this after a previously fired defensive coordinator gets his 3rd DUI with a one game suspension and subsequently a increase in pay. Now an administration, AD, and head coach hope charges are dropped to say”we handled this internally “ or “nothing to see here.”
Sure msdui has good football players but the mentality of a one year old and culture of the ghetto. Notice I didn’t mention PED’s………..
Montana……35
msdui………..24

Go Griz!

Overall that's a terrible look for everyone involved. I still can't understand why you'd hire a coach with a track record of 2 dui's and a major recruiting violation. I have this vision of the HC and administrators sitting around a conference table after his interview and saying "hey look, he's only actually been convicted twice and that recruiting violation isn't really that big of a deal".

Why do Cat fans think they need to come to a GRIZ message board in order to "help some characters see the light"? Why would any fan think it's a good idea to go to their rivals message board and say things like that?

Newsflash: We're fans. We're going to say irrational things as we support our team. If you don't like it, go back to your own board.

I'm so overly confident about the team this year. I know that I'm not being entirely logical. Same with my bet with AZ on the Ferris game.

And, hey, if I lose I will have more free time for other hobbies. I'm sure I'll find some.

Overly confident gris fan? Never met ‘em 😂!

You're right, I'm not overconfident. My confidence just has excellent depth. ;)

Yep. As I said, its the online equivalent of walking up to a group of fans from one team and interjecting yourself to insult their team and "call them out." It is shockingly pointless and immature, other than for the people that never grew out of their mean girl phase. I notice there is a lot less when we are up and the Cats are down.

Wait a minute. There was a Cat fan on here that predicted this will be, quite literally, the worst Bobcat defense in the 127 year history? And you believed him? Geeezzzus garr. Somebody on here who actually knows you needs to conduct a wellness check. You seem sick.

Not sure where you guys find these Cat trolls tbh.
