Regarding the $150,000 budget cut

The whole budget deficit gets easily covered if Haslam is successful in buying out the UND game and adding a seventh home game. Playing three straight years in Grand Forks is crazy anyhow. There has to be another Pan Handle State out there willing to bus to Missoula for peanuts. Easier because he would have two early dates to work with; 9/7 and 9/14.

I'm trying to figure why UM would announce the 2013 schedule of serious effort is under way to add a home game? I great idea I think, but wouldn't it make sense to wait on the announcement until the schedule is final?

Seems to be a common theme for e-Griz posters, if not the exact words, at least the intent:
'I'm tying to figure out why UM...'

This, right here.

A home game nets about $350,000. Buy out UND for less than $200,000 and you're in the clear (and I'm sure their buy-out would be far less than that.)

Great, even higher ticket prices next year to cover up for poor planning on behalf of Rolls Royce.

$55+ for app st., homecoming and ewu.
$25 for a D2 game, $28 for the other 3.
Looks like about $275 (not including GSA) a seat with a 7 game schedule. But where else can you see a virtual sandwich eating contest on the big screen and hear the best hits from 2003 as part of your entertainment value?

At what point does it become too much? $575? $1,075? $10,075? UM will charge whatever the market will bear(no pun intended). There will be a point of diminishing returns. Until then, they will keep gouging the fan base. The current price is already about twice the average for the BSC, without GSA. Look up a couple notchs to the BCS teams. Check out the prices of Alabama tickets.
