As a Texas resident I agree with you statement. Most of the residents of Texas live in this triangle. Most of the population doesn't come from native born but inbound residents from other states.I’ve been told that Texas high school Quarterbacks are typically the most advanced in the nation. A lot of offensive trends can be directly traced back to what Texas high schools were doing at the time.
Last I looked Texas had the most nfl QBs as well tho that could have changed since. I would argue that the Texas triangle. Dallas Houston Austin San Antonio has the largest talent pool in the nation. I would bet that area has the most amount of nfl players come out of it as well. Followed closely by South Florida/Miami and Los Angelas.
That and all the Texas powerhouses are manly in that triangle. Duncanville DeSoto Allen. Southlake Aledo. In the Dallas areaAs a Texas resident I agree with you statement. UM has a pretty good Tailgate scene. I have been to more than a few. Ranked from first to worst:You wonder why a lot of these guys that go FCS want to transfer to FBS. The gameday environment and facilities at most FCS schools might not be up to the standard at their high school.

That is missing Brock Purdy from Perry High School in Gilbert Arizona. Retired qb Ryan Fitzpatrick is also from Gilbert. You could add Tyler Shough for the 2025-2026 season who is from Chandler which is right next to Gilbert. He went to Hamilton High School go Huskies! My buddy played at Hamilton while Tyler Shough was on the team as a freshman against Brock Purdy. Perry and Hamilton are rivals from the same district.according to ai, for the 2024-2025 season cali had the most:

it seems like there used to be a lot more tailgating, but along the stadium now there are quite a few very large vehicles that are for the most part advertising. they seem to have displaced a lot of the smaller, but more raucous tailgates. plus, the gsa takes up a lot of prime tailgating space, and that area feels more like you are patronizing a business than 'tailgating', per se. oh, and then there is the cost - i don't know, but suspect, that tailgating spot prices have increased far past the rate of inflation.UM has a pretty good Tailgate scene. I have been to more than a few. Ranked from first to worst:
LSU
Ohio State
App State
Duke
Georgia
Kentucky
Oregon
Texas
North Dakota State
Montana
Boise State
TCU
Texas Tech
ECU
Tulane
West Virginia
Ohio
Marshall
UM needs more space, more variety, and really needs to be better organized into travel lanes on the grass and they need to close off the north parking lot and open it up for more tailgates. Also they need to get rid of some of their ridiculous rules, but that's just me.
Real talk? LSU is like Mardi Gras during home games. If you haven't been, you gotta go. I do want to hit an Ole' Miss tailgate though. They are rumored to have the best tailgate in all of college football. IDK, it would be hard to beat LSU.
That's too bad. I haven't been to a home game since 2022. I was going to go this year, but cancer...it seems like there used to be a lot more tailgating, but along the stadium now there are quite a few very large vehicles that are for the most part advertising. they seem to have displaced a lot of the smaller, but more raucous tailgates. plus, the gsa takes up a lot of prime tailgating space, and that area feels more like you are patronizing a business than 'tailgating', per se. oh, and then there is the cost - i don't know, but suspect, that tailgating spot prices have increased far past the rate of inflation.
of course i could be wrong...
Nice so it has changed. Do it for just total nfl players next. That would be interesting.according to ai, for the 2024-2025 season cali had the most:

NDSU’s scene was a lot better when the Griz played there in 2014 and 2015 compared to now. I think it was comparable to Montana then but Montana’s is now a lot better. They don’t even sell out the Fargodome anymore.I think our scene is better than NDSUs. I’ve been to the parking lot in Fargo and it wasn’t that great. They do have a lot of nice rigs. But you fee like you’re just drinking in a Walmart parking lot. Also they don’t let you leave at half. Pansies

Keep the faith; there's light at the end of the tunnel, I can vouch for that, I'm 4 years clear now. But it has cut into my game attendance, not as tough as I once was. Hope to do better this year. But the new 85" TV is real completion. That's too bad. I haven't been to a home game since 2022. I was going to go this year, but cancer...
Texas just swept the NFL honors this year. MVP, defensive POY and offensive POY all are from DFW public high schools.Texas is overhyped as far as football goes. Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech are all at home watching Indiana, Oregon, Ole Miss and Miami play for the NC
For my tastes, Cal Poly should be in there instead of lowly NDSU or Boise.UM has a pretty good Tailgate scene. I have been to more than a few. Ranked from first to worst:

You must have gone to a different Cal Poly game than me. There was less than 9,000 fans to see them play the Griz in 2016, which was a week after the Griz upset the #3 team in the country in the road the prior week. The Griz played in Fargo in 2014 and 2015. The environment at those 2 games blows the environment at the Cal Poly game away. I haven’t been to a game in Fargo recently but from what I understand the tailgating and gam day scene there has dropped off a lot since 2014 and 2015 though. For my tastes, Cal Poly should be in there instead of lowly NDSU or Boise.
I was at that game. Like I said--for my tastes. For me, bigger is not better. Wa-Griz packed to the gills is a PITA. Excellent seats at Spanos that day, beautiful weather, I was also at a Niners-Broncos tailgate, and not for me. The titans games in Pburg are more fun.You must have gone to a different Cal Poly game than me.
