Because he is a career position coach who couldn't cut it at UM once UM got a real head coach after the former head coach who previously was a career position coach retired......Gregorak saw that his time as a coordinator at UM had come to an end once the CB position coach (semore) brought along with stitt, or perhaps the other holdover position coach (legi) who has been on staff throughout the TG experiment had to start writing up the gameplans for TG because stitt found TGs' gameplans insufficient.......if what everyone has been saying is true that about sums it up

The circus at MSU saga numbah tooooooooo......u cat fans forget that once upon a time there was this thing at um called a football staff (pflugrad and co 2011) Said football staff disintegrated after a slew of negative shit......TG had his own slew of negative shit and came back to um to work at his previous position as a linebackers coach. At this point UM was really a bit of a shit show. It had a running backs coach as a head coach, a really good defensive coordinator with one foot out the door (breske) and a formidable offensive coordinator with one foot out the door as well (smith).........after both breske and smith leave, gregorak is promoted to defensive coordinator, a position for which he is under qualified, and a recievers coach (hyson) is promoted to co-offensive coordinator along with the previous assistant o-line coach (Gragg, who was not even the offensive line coach until bob beers quit and went back to the Texans in lieu of the Engstrom mess)....... So there you have it, CATS STOLE A LINEBACKERS COACH THAT WAS TURNED INTO A COORDINATOR!!!!!! Aaaaaaahahahahahahaha

I haven't read much on here so apologies if this has already been posted, but I think there are a number of reasons Ty moved on. 1. There was an obvious divide between him and coach Stitt. 2. It's rumored Kandice was offered a coaching job in Bozeman. 3. If I'm a defensive coordinator who is trying to move up the ranks, I would hate to coach in a quick strike type of system where the defense if on the field for a huge majority of the game. UM's defense was very good this year, but I believe they would have been absolutely dominant in a "bobbyball" type of environment where the players were actually able to get some rest.

As it stands, I don't think this situation is much different than if Cramsey were retained by Choate. Both are big firery personalities who the players love and I think Cramsey would have been looking to jump ship ASAP.

That said, leaving UM and going to MSU is a big giant middle finger of epic proportions.

P.S. I haven't seen anyone manipulate Gregorak's name yet, and I have to say I'm a little disappointed in CDA and Everett. May I suggest Todd Gregorcat?
