Really happy the Griz did not get the Thomas's

All kidding aside, both situations are stupid. We all "enjoy" making fun of each other for mistakes players can make but we all know full well how people can rebound from things and do well after getting second chances. Neither team should be happy (if everything is true).

Yeah he will do great in Bozeman. Probably just switch from weed to cocaine. Fits the culture of MSU students.

I'd say this week is a perfect reminder why fans of both programs should keep the following in mind:

* Glass house.

* Put down stone.
 
If true, he should be done before he starts at MSU. Playing football under scholarship is a privelage lost of some of these fellas here lately. Perhaps a hard lesson now will help down the road.

Too bad both we are spending the off season arguing about who is less worse than the other...
 
well.....it's you're turn. we got the ball rolling with our stud rb deciding to skip class and be off the team. griz came back with a great counter and had their most recognized player drink and drive after a night of partying. but we couldn't let you take all that heat for more than a couple days. we did our service and had a player who has yet to step on campus screw himself so bad....he might never get a chance. so now it's your turn to pile it on for a few days when hopefully trumaine does something so dumb he gets booted from the team..... 8-)

ps....i simply picked tru for selfish reasons. :thumb:

seriously though....this is real annoying. good to see a kid with already a few questionable character decisons making the most of a great opportunity. be interesting to see what unfolds. :oops:

Funny that the Interlake basicallty lets that poster infer that Thomas was the one selling drugs at a drug-free party for local children. "If" Ash were to boot this kid, what happens to the other Thomas? Weren't they a package deal? MSU could look the other way and simply say all this happened before Thomas was actually part of the program. But in the past Ash has kicked off the team for less than this. The Bobcat athletes who broke into the Mayor of Bozeman's home a couple years back was kicked off the team, as I recall. That seemed like more of a drunken accident. Selling drugs to someone's child is a little more than that.
 
I agree with griz4life, personal consumption vs. distribution are not quite the same crime. If true, the teen could face time. Glad nobody was seriously injured. Hope CF22 is right and the kids become better people due to youthful mistakes.

We now have an additional season in Montana for our two Division one football programs, fall, recruiting, spring football and summer drunk drivin'/druggin'/flunkin' out....ain't we a pair cat fans...

I count myself as a lucky to survive the stupid crap I did in college, however...

The sorry part of this is that it gives the vast majority of those student athletes who are ("a saint" or representing their school by keeping their nose clean and working hard) a bad rap. No breaking news about how well these types of students did in school or what some have gone on to do because of the opportunity.

Just plain dumb!

ya it's getting real old. i'm not even mad at these guys for being dumb enough to do these things. afterall, i did many of the same things not many years ago....

but it's not that hard to act like an idiot and not get caught.... :thumb:
 
Wasn't one of those mayor's basement crawlers a Kalispell kid by the name of Dan Ogden?

Seems to me he had a pretty good career -- after crawling out of the basement!

yeah, like i believe that. you know tru wasn't practicing this spring due to academics. admit it. you just brought him up to see if something is going haywire with him. didn't you? didn't you? ;)
