Ranking This Recruiting Class.

Typical understated elegance in the statement by snap. Come to think of it, where are all the geniuses that said we were making a HUGE mistake hiring a coach that was from DivII and wasn't from Montana? How could he be imagined to recruit to the big leagues? How could he compete being from such a punk-ass division? How could he recruit in Montana without knowing the territory.

Appears to me the kid did pretty good so far.

95% of this was Delaney 5% Stitt. Lets wait until we see Stitts first class a year from now before we judge his recruiting prowess. He does however get   for bringing Daum back to sanity!

Almost every decent recruit Delaney had verbal backed out or was let go. This class is about 80% Stitt...

Instead of ranking this class, which I like very very much, how about ranking past classes? Should be easier because all their achievements can be looked at, measured & compared to others. Plus it should be a fun discussion.

Let's see how these guys are contributing in 2-3 years. On paper it looks like an incredible class but it's hard to be sure when you haven't seen these guys do a single thing as a Griz.

Way to state the obvious. What's the point of a message board without conjecture and opinion. Your answer sounds like the text-book pro-athlete response to an interview question, something along the lines of, "We played well, couldn't have done it without my teammates. But it's already in the past we're thinking about the next game now." That being said, haven't had a chance to watch all their hudl videos, but I really like Holden Ryan and think he's one of the top 5 recruits in this class.

Not that BW needs me to defend him, but his conjecture and opinion tend to be rational & positive. Every F@&$ing Internet free-for-all needs someone like him. You need a better answer? U want the truth? U can't handle the truth!

Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with the ability to bring calm and rational thought to a F@&$ing free-for-all. Who's gonna do it? You? You, AG1, Hammer, AZ? BW has a greater responsibility than you could possibly fathom. You complain about the suppression of opinion & conjecture and curse the obvious. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what BW knows. Snaps posting, while tragic, probably saved lives. And BW's existance, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about at parties, you want BW on that wall, you need him on that wall. He uses words like pride, tradition, loyalty. We use these words as the backbone of a life spent defending morons like you and I who post on egrIz. You use them as a punchline. BW has neither the time nor the inclination to explain himself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that he provides, and then questions the manner in which he provides it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you rethink this captain obvious post. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you are entitled to.

I don’t care what you suggest that I should rethink. Just don't call me son. I'm married to a lawyer, and an I’m a fan of the Montana Grizzlies, and BW is under arrest for giving a milquetoast, run-of-the-mill response, that son of a realtor!

BW is excused.

I think Stitt turned it up to 11, ripped the knob off, then took the knob and rammed it up ron ashs' corn-shooter.

That's beautiful; one of my favorite Robert Frost passages.

omagawd, the old montana inferiority complex coming to the fore again. "oh, we're jes little old montana! our kids can't compete in the wac!" or,"well, shucks, heck, yup, we had a good recruiting class, but ya know, ya gotta wait two years, three years, who knows, you never know, kids are like curve balls, you never know how they're gonna break, we just gotta wait and see, cuase after all, we're jes little old montana, remember." okay, so me let just climb up here on mount jumbo, give me a second, whew, this never gets easier, ah steep climb, where's my bullhorn, okay, here we go: THIS IS THE BEST RECRUITNG CLASS EVER!!

On paper this class appears great. As for Stitt, imagine what kind of recruiting ass kicking he can do with a full year to recruit. He did a hell of a job in the short time he had to get who he did. Great job by Delaney and his staff as well.
In terms of "transitions," this is likely the best we can ever expect to see ...

I tend to agree with citay.....I checked couple recruiting sites and on paper we looked as good or better than about 25% pf fbs schools......sure it all on paper, but heck, as a fan it looks to be a homerun class for a fcs school imo......10

Yes, and after that,
Ron Ash crept into the stadium on little cat feet,
Sat looking
over Bozeman
on silent haunches
and then moved on.

Brint, how dare you!!!!! You forgot that every recruit will be a 1st ballot NFL Hall of Fame. :thumb:

This is probably the easiest question to answer that I've ever seen on here.

This is easily the best recruiting class um has ever had. Just like every other year.

That is not remotely true. Last year there was a ton of negatives voiced about the recruiting class. Only a handful of kids stood out. This is the first year in several years I felt UM's class was better then state's class, even with some of your stud baggage you brought in from other teams. But on the positive side for UM, we still beat state 3 out last 4 years. Not good when you get out-coached by Delaney.
