Questions / topics for the GFP

OK, guys, I'm still a bit downtrodden from Saturday night, but I'll do my level best.

Pick one:

1. The Griz finish the regular season with only one loss, including a blowout win over the Cats. The Griz then breeze through the playoffs into the national championship game. You are all flown out to scenic Frisco, TX on a private jet and given VIP treatment with lodging and tickets for your families (and Luke's goldfish, "Data Point") to watch the Griz win a national championship on a last second pick-6. BUT, you have to wear 7-inch high heels wherever you go for one (1) year. No cheating with platforms. Something like this:

R.aa2d73c4a4267565b28cab7b0228f585

No loopholes. They are made in your size, and they must be worn everywhere you go outside of your homes (Mike's glamping trips, Brint's showings, and whatever Luke does). And, you can't tell anyone why you're doing it. You can only reply, "They're just more comfortable".

OR

2. The Griz lose to the Cats and miss the playoffs the next three (3) years.

Edited for clarity.

Defensively:

1) Discuss the absence of Robertson. The last two games our D has looked....pedestrian at best. Is he REALLY the straw that stirs the drink? Because results would seem to indicate that....
2) And related to that: Is Garrett Graves "not ready for prime time"? He's had two games as the heir apparent and while he racks up the tackles, rarely does he get there to break up a pass...and there have been several times runners/receivers have run through tackles.
3) How freaking difficult is it to say "NOBODY gets behind you!!!" watching their receivers run free and BEHIND the safeties was maddeningly frustrating.
4) And finally, Fouch seemed non-existent saturday night. With the # of passes thrown you'd think he'd have been more of a factor, yet I rarely saw him in the picture and didn't hear his name called a whole lot.

Offensively:

1) Is Brown going to be the answer? Does it really matter who's throwing to the receivers if they don't get more separation than they're getting?
2) Will we take more shots over the top with Brown at the helm? Because we took exactly ZERO saturday night.
3) Posed by another poster: Why not try Flowers at RB or at least get him 10-15 touches a game? Dude is ELECTRIC
4) Discuss O-line regression -- their protection has NOT been as good the past two games. Hell, they did better against UW than against CP or EWU
5) Does Akem really miss Toure that much? He seems "disinterested" and frustrated...

Take your pick. Discuss some, all or none.

I think Robertson is a great player. I'm not sure he would have made any difference against that Eastern passing attack. As far as Graves goes, I thought he's done a great job in Robertson's place these past two games. Keep in mind, he's been a safety for 1 year. He was playing wide receiver, running back and quarterback all before playing safety. I'm no expert, but I imagine it takes a few game reps to learn all the nuances of a position like safety. There were certainly a few tackles that could be cleaned up, which was true of most positions on D. Personally I thought he looked to be the best of the safety crew the past two games.

I'm excited to see how Brown does. I feel terrible for for Cam. That would really suck to lose most of your senior year. I thought for the few plays Brown was in the game, he did his job. That last pass certainly could have been caught, then we'd all be saying Brown was our savior.

Oline has dropped off since the first game. Not sure what to attribute that to.

I do think losing Toure hurts not only Akem, but the entire offense. Anytime you lose the best receiver in all of FCS football, it's going to hurt. I can see Akem being frustrated, but I certainly haven't seen the disinterested you mention.

Of course, these are my two cents, which ain't worth a dime.

So you recorded Monday night? How long does it normally take to drop on Apple podcast? I still haven't seen it come up, I look forward to it every week but it seems late this time 🤷‍♂️

They tweeted out on Tuesday that there were technical difficulties and the audio file was apparently unable to be recovered.
