Brown graduated from high school in 2019. He’s in his third year of college. He is a college junior. He may be a redshirt freshman ELIGIBILITY wise but he is a college junior. And this is his third year in the program. Anything else you want to be wrong about, dad?

Oh, and I believe I have ZERO influence on these “kids”. Zero. And if I DO have any influence, then I question that kid’s maturity for placing any value on a fan’s perspective.

Just because he was with the program for 3 years doesn't mean anything.. they didn't play last year... did you forget that? This was his first year of game time. First year throwing in a live game in 3 years... no college experience. And he did damn well for that. Not to mention he had a higher completion percentage than Cam and only passed for 700 less yards with only having significant time in 4 games compared to Humphrey's 9.... fuck you're dumb dude.

And got jerked from the game in his most important appearance. Me thinks the coaches feel the same way I do.

And if THAT is your definition of “damn well”, holy shit, strap it on for 3 more years of medocrity.

We saw two of our back up qb’s play in the James Madison game. Visual evidence why we need a couple of drop downs if we can get them as the need is urgent. I don’t know how many qb’s we can afford in the program, but with the freshman from Helena and the transfers, the qb room may get full soon.

I think Brown will start next year though and I believe they will coach him up to the standards that they need to have in a qb to be a good offense.

Odd, I don't see any of those teams playing this weekend. My point is that an elite QB is necessary to win, but being able to put together a complete offense that can execute and be consistent is. This Griz team wasn't able to do that game in, game out.

The difference was certainly clear all year when Cam couldn’t play. More catchable ball? Maybe. Doesn’t do much if it’s never thrown. My, your tone is familiar.

I definitely think we need a change at OC, QBs coach, and O Line coach... these are the things that are holding us back from being championship caliber. It's not like Hauck hasn't had really good qbs before.. The griz haven't had a really good QB since Jordan Johnson.

Sneed was a very good QB.

My research indicates Bobby may have recruited him to UNLV but had no hand in his development. The point of this thread is has Bobby ever recruited a high school QB and coached him up to be a very good college player? I can't think of any but don't have time to research. Drop down QB, OL, no national championship, these are related. Is Mellot a great passer? Has he been put in a offense that takes advantage of his strengths? It appears to me Bobby's QB coaching up philosophy is we bring in a group of guys and have them compete to fit into my system. In my opinion this has and will continue to be the achilleas heel of a otherwise great program

Bobby would have started Brown ahead of Cam if he was ready to start. Apparently, the head coach thought Cam should be the starting QB. Now you may think the arm chair coaches on the site don’t know what they’re talking about, but I believe Coach Hauck does.

p.s. Pay attention to arm strength development. Just because you develop it doesn't mean the QB should use it every throw.
