QB Club Tickets

I know there's a fair amount of QB Club members that will be taking the charters down. If that's the case, then there's no reason any of them would've needed to buy tickets this morning as tickets to the game are included in the charter package. That should free up some space and allow the tickets to get to the GSA tomorrow. Albeit not a lot will be left!

Just spoke to the box office. The purchase of tickets reserves a spot and seats will be assigned later. Seats will be through sections 103-109.

500 QB Club members x 4 tickets each. Assuming most will buy and either use or buy for friends. 2000 tickets has to be a big chunk of the allotment prior to the next level.

You are correct. The allotment is usually around 4000 total tickets.

It's not just QB Club members that have access today. There will be very few tickets let tomorrow morning and none tomorrow afternoon. Ticket prices are not coming down for this game.

I think maybe canyon club too and in addition the charters. Might be 100 tickets left for tomorrow.

It also includes club members (people who have season tickets in The Terrace area) I secured mine at 8:45.

Suite owners, QB Club, VIPs, the band, athletic department staff, UMAA staff...

I wouldn't count on any tickets available to the average GSA member.

That’s great. I was assuming they would be somewhere in the middle of the field. Good to know.

Yeah, I think 600 or so members. There was an email saying that each QB club member was limited to 4 tickets total but the email went on to say to not buy 4 tickets for the sake of buying 4 tickets so others have a chance at them. Not sure if that will be followed. It's hard to tell people they can buy 4 tickets and then suggest that they don't do that. Everyone has family or friends that want to go with them. We had two through the charter and we are meeting family there so I bought two more this morning. Hopefully they wind up in the same area but who knows?

The place holds 20,000. According to Dave K. at the University, they get 4,000 for Griz supporters. So 8,000 for the schools that are in the game.

Here’s my theory…The NCAA pre-sells the rest in August because they want to nail down the revenue and mitigate the risk a team like UAlbany makes it and can only sell 1,000 tickets. The NCAA locks down 10,000 tickets or so in August for $1,150,000 and lets the free market take over. This week the market is dominated by emotion, fueled by the excitement of winning the semifinal game and the desire to lock down the trip. It explains why the secondary market price gets down close to face value the day before the game because 12,000 tickets is a lot.

My question is why are there not more for sale on secondary market for high prices? Why wait until prices go down to list them for sale?

It’s a good question. I don’t know. It does beg the next question though. Why only 8,000 tickets for the schools?

I was thinking the same... everyone not going has to know this is the time to sell.

Maybe a bunch of fans of other teams are going regardless? Or axs snatched up the tickets and is only making a few available to keep prices higher as they resell. Does seem odd how the total number available keeps stay about the same on resale sights.

It seems like the resale sites are manipulating the prices by only releasing a certain number of tickets at a time. It's obvious that tickets are being purchased, but I can see the number of listings decreasing and then increasing again.

Fans with championship aspirations buy up the tickets when they go on sale in August. I've already seen a couple Montana State fans selling on Facebook, and I assume more NDSU fans will begin selling as things progress. Also, South Dakota State fans knew they had a good team, and probably purchased a large portion, too. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the 12,000 tickets available for sale are legitimately sold out from their original sale date.

This is spot on. In the next 3-4 days we will hit the peak in pricing. Most people who have already bought plane tickets will either a) get game tickets today or tomorrow through the U, b) bite the bullet once those tickets are gone and purchase resale tickets or c) refund the flights. In 10 days they should be much cheaper.

I believe this may be happening, but you'd think sellers would be up in arms if their pair is last to get listed and they get left holding the bag.

Keep in mind too that all of the charter/tour companies purchased a fair number. Let's assume there were 10 tour flights out of Montana with 200 people aboard, that's 2,000 tickets. If sdsu also has 10 flights, that's a large number of tickets that will not go on the secondary market.

I'm thinking prices will not fall a great deal this year. Montana will travel very, very well.

That all makes sense, my conjecture on the manipulation is simply due to the fact that the number of listings seems to be very static. I'm watching it go down but then it goes right back up to about the same number. It could be happening organically but it seems suspicious.

Yes I am certain that is happening if the sites purchased back the tickets from sellers.

I hope there is plenty for anyone who wants to go.
