QB Club Tickets

Yep, if they pay GSA dues for each seat. Why should QB members get to buy four tickets?

You gotta remember there is a lot of crossover. Several people, such as myself are a QB Club Member, GSA member and Club season ticket holder. Does that mean I should get 12? Individuals like me only got access to 4 tickets, despite qualifying for them multiple ways. QB Club folks are always going to be prioritized because they unequivocally support specifically the football program in a much larger capacity than the average GSA member or season ticket holder. First rights to things like Championship tickets is part of the deal. Anyone can be a member. You give preferential treatment to the people who support the program in the greatest capacity. Just the way it works. Again, anyone has the right to join the club.

I almost joined QB club on Monday. It would have saved $1,000 and gotten me video access to QB club meetings for a year. But I thought my family would be able to get GSA tickets. I'm an idiot.

I'm in agreement that I should only get 4 tickets despite qualifying multiple ways. But Just because you have 10 season tickets doesn't mean you should be afforded 10 seats to the title game when the allotment is already small. They have to have limitations since there are like 19,000 season tickets.

For context. I'm a QB club member, and have 4 club seats, along with paying mt GSA dues. Seems worthy of being at the front of the line.

It really is worth it, as we're seeing now. Between the meeting and being able to attend closed practices its pretty cool. The ticketing priority for this type of thing is definitely an added bonus.

I agree with you but I think they could have said up to four tickets based on the number of season tickets you have. I have a friend who has one season ticket and is a member of the QB club and he bought four tickets. Granted, he's taking other people with him, but I don't think that's right.

I guess that is part of the reward for his support of the football program, which is above and beyond what the average season ticket holder gives. In your defense, they did plead with people to not do what he did (buy tickets for friends) but obviously not everyone will listen to that and there is no real way to prevent it.

Nope. That means you have access to four tickets. Being a member of the qb club or a gsa member just gives you priority. It only costs $1,000 to be in the qb club so you're not giving a lot of revenue to the football program or the broader Missoula community. Businesses and individuals that have boxes and those in the Canyon Club pay far more to the University.

While you're right that it only costs $1,000 to gain the point of entry to the club, there are other fundraisers that happen within it. And while that $1,000 may not seem like a lot to you, it is a lot to many people and I assume that most people in the QB club also pay into the GSA, Canyon Club, or boxes if they can get to games. It also, as has been said, goes directly to the football team's discretionary use. While it may not qualify as "a lot of revenue" if you take it as just a $1,000 to get in, but the organization as a whole raised over a million dollars this year for the football team, I believe.

For me, it makes sense because the cost can be small ($88 bucks a month, ish), so it is accessible to nearly anyone, but it also is a level of additional time and financial support that is beyond what many choose to give to the program.

Griz sports is no different than any entity in this country. Money buys access. Access in this case is early shot at tickets. I could have bought tickets early and probably could have had a bunch of people that would have gone. I am not able to make it, so I followed the rules and didn't buy and didn't give out access code.

The other thing that is prevalent in this country is supply and demand. Demand is high right now. It will decrease over the next two weeks. Prices have gone down historically as people start to realize they are not going to sell their tickets at what they are asking. That may be a little less this year as historically, the Griz travel well, and our fan base is HUNGRY for this right now. If you can wait and potentially drive or catch a later flight, it may work for you to wait.

Oh, in the short-term I agree with you. But when the little guy, which is the majority of society gets fed up with it, significant change happens.
