Just saw the Bishop Gorman QB has only two offers one is Port St. Played Top competition all year.

5’10; 160 (5’8; 148 in combine numbers). Looks like an offer from HI as well?

https://247sports.com/Player/Micah-Alejado-46113374/

Ya, at 5’8” he plays much taller than that.

Looks good to me. Can’t hurt. Get him here.

Well then just eliminate him from consideration to compete for the job here. How could anyone without a proper Rivals profile play at this level? They are always so complete and accurate. I wonder what DD's profile looked like coming out of HS.

DD never lost a high school football game that's how it looked.

May not of had any scholly offers but, if LSU and Oregon are talking to you, trying to get you at their program, that's big. Those teams are big time, they're not fcs teams.

Dedicating almost 50% of a Division 1 roster to kids from Montana because they are from Montana is ridiculous!
Feel free to bust out your checkbook and donate to the NIL collective so that we can start landing more out of state kids that are okay not getting a scholarship.

What % of the 51 Montana kids aren’t getting at least a partial? Actually, we could have 100% Montana kids, then we can eliminate recruiting.

A lot higher percentage than the out of state kids.

If you look back at Stitt's teams, where we had far fewer Montana kids, and far more out of state kids on partial/no scholarship, it didn't seem like the quality of player was really that much better.

It's almost like borderline scholarship guys are the same no matter where they come from. Weird.

If I was an out of state high school player, I might look at the Montana roster and conclude there’s no point in further interest in the Griz since they are overloaded with Montana kids.

You seem to think out of state kids that are okay with coming to Montana with no/partial scholarships are by default better than the same kids from Montana, and I'm saying your assumption is wrong, and we have evidence of that being the case, with even more evidence that we turn those same Montana players into stars more often than out of state kids.

Well, that’s a no brainer! That’s because there are more of them. Seriously, I do believe on average, the out of state candidate is of more quality due to better competition and coaching. Also, I have always believed that Montana is blessed with youngsters with natural God Given talent. Just not half of an FCS team.

QBs, RBs, most WRs, secondary = out of state.
Everybody else = Montana first.

That’s what I think could be a good recipe as a general rule with exceptions.

Great recipe except MSU gets all the O-linemen.

That, and, Cat starting QB from Butte, starting RB from Huntley Project, starting receiver from Billings, starting safety from Missoula, etc.

I don’t think you know what “general” means.
I don’t think you know what “exception” means.
Also, I don’t think you know what QB means.

Then, we go *gasp* elsewhere for them

Which team has more MT starters? Think Griz had 5 on D. Roberts on O. Punter. Brown started a game.

Griz had first and third team all conference on 0-line. Cats didn't.

Who had the MT head coach? Who had more MT players as coaches?

Cats are going down next year.

     - That's precious! Cat griz, Gameday, showed the world where the power program is in this state beyond any shadow of a doubt. :thumb:

Bobcat fans all over the world thank their lucky stars every day that Brent Vigen is the coach of the Bobcats and Bobby Hauck is coaching the griz.
