I argued w/ Cat fan there was a block in the back. Just watching the game on DVR.

Probably figured he wouldn't effect the play. If I am seeing right that's Kendrick Van Ackeren; he's not very fast and isn't much of a tackler, especially on special teams. (L O f'ing L). He is going to be a beast for us next year at OLB. Still, they didn't call it, and as my old Scotish grandfather used to say "if everything wasn't the way it was, it would all be different"

To be honest he got the edge of van there. It could have been called but that's far from a textbook block in the back

The first photo looks like a block in the back is starting, and will continue--unless the blocker backed off of the block. The second photo is fuzzy, and it's hard to see what is happening and what changed from the first photo. Less conclusive. I hadn't notice it during the game coverage.

it is a block in the back......van's helmet is pointing forward (second photo) as being shoved, otherwise judging from the first photo his helmet would be facing and leaning towards his left as he would be making the cut towards the runner. imo

The pics are from my phone of the TV. Trust me (say that to my wife all the time), it's a block in the back.

Oh well, had a missed tackle or 2 on that play too........

The clip they called on Tully was pretty weak too, there were alot of interesting calls against the Griz saturday.

The worst one IMO was the "horse collar tackle" that was called - can't remember who it was, Tripp maybe?

They called that on Wagenmann, that was a phantom call.

Thanks Jay.

I hadn't seen it mentioned on here yet, and I knew I wasn't the only one who thought it was BS.

funny, from all the cats fans I talked to they were the ones that got screwed by the refs...that and it just wasn't fair that they didn't have their best players healthy...not that it was the reason they won last year when we didn't have Johnson if you ask them though
