PSUvUM

40 Seconds left..... I don't want to jinx us.... but this could be a season changing win for the griz.... close this one out!!!!! what a great TEAM effort..... Kyle Sharp came to play!!!

Great win, this team has turned the corner, now just a matter of them not turning back. We outrebounded them, we outplayed them, we outshot them, and our defense was once again solid as a rock. Hasquet and Sharp came to play. Once again, Hasquet took a few 3's. He is changing his game to more of a 15 foot perimeter player. It is helping him, and in turn he is making things happen for his teammates too. He is near unstoppable inside 10 feet with all the runners, scoops, and off balance shots.

As for 3 point shooting, I think we should keep the majority of 3's going through Stauds and Taylor. Defense and rebounding are becoming consistently good. Many on here were bashing the GRIZ for those things earlier this year. I honestly feel our defense has been solid all year, but rebounding left alot to be desired. Speaking of defense, the combination of CET and AJ on point guards makes us excellent defensively at PG. They did great containing Dominguez and also controlling the tempo.

In my opinion, this team is showing they can and will contend this year for the BSC championship. Keep it up guys. One final thing "take that PSU and the BASHERS!!!!!"

As one who had questioned this units DeSire...I eat my words...Great, great , effort tonite and actually the last 3 games...good job coaching staff..and congrats on the the halftime adjustments,,and concentration..but again good effort on D..way to go GRIZ..so why not host the tourney this March?

Not a bad 1st half. A few observations (1) Qvale looks very nervous against their post double teams. The other posts are much better against them offensively. Qvale needs to be ready to split the double team or get the ball out ASAP for open perimeter shots. EIther way, he needs to be more decisive.(2) If our shots start falling, we can beat PSU. (3) We have to keep Julius Thomas from dominating the boards. He alone has given them an extra 3 to 4 buckets.

I honestly feel we can win this game. They are better defensively on the perimeter and more athletic. We have the edge with our bigs. If the GRIZ get confidence, we can beat these guys.

I am glad I hit the nail on the head for this game. :)

The crowd was noisy (especially at the end) and similar in size to the cat crowd (4300 plus). It was a heckuva college basketball game. Kyle Sharp was tremendous and kept the Griz in it early. Jordan came to life in the second half. AJ was AJ :) . The Griz simply made more plays down the stretch and especially when they made a run to take the lead. Having CET back really helps! Stauds hit a key 3 toward the end as did AJ. The 3 by Stauds may have been the only shot he took. He had a hard time getting open looks. Of course, PSU's defense had something to do with that. Overall, a great night at Dahlberg! :D
