Prukop is a good QB, but he's going to be one of 4 or 5 QBs on the roster and get "used like a rented mule"
Should just stay in the FCS!

One thing, Choate has a Montana lineage. That fact that he gives chops to Mick Delaney is huge, as I don't think there is a more beloved coach in Montana collegiate football history, save perhaps Sonny Holland, although Don Read and Joe Glenn certainly rank up there on this side of the Divide. Just to start off his career at MSU, Choate "gets it."Catsrback76 said:In light of all that, I think it's pretty amazing we won as many games as we did. I think the smoke is clearing, and Coach Choate is the fresh wind that has been needed at MSU for a couple (3) years.
Like VA, he gave them 4 years. I doubt it was his decision to redshirt his first year.Blgs Griz Fan said:Am I reading this situation correctly? It sure appears that DP played at MSU as a stepping stone to the FBS. I think he stated having a chip on his shoulder because he did not get the FBS attention he was expecting.
DP set out to graduate from MSU in 3.5 years leaveing with some recognition and another year to play. I don't know if he divulged this plan to the coaching staff or his teammates early on if it is indeed fact. If he did then that was the honest thing to do but if not he played MSU like they were fools.
In any case it will be interesting to see where he ends up and how he does. Whoever lands him better not need a pocket passer because his accuracy from the pocket is really bad.

Yep.
He was in Oregon on Saturday, caught the red-eye and was in Ala today, and will most likely announce his decision tomorrow (without visiting Michigan or Texas).

Alabama was a QB look-off, it's Oregon or bust!

I've heard from good sources, who may or may not be extremely self-interested, that 300/200 games are coming. He's a cobra back there.

EWU was what? 3 yards short..isn't that a gimme?
My posts earlier on this thread about building "programs" founded strongly on team loyalty finds expression in what Dakota leaves behind. There have been many different topics started about DP transferring to play for a different school next year. First off I would like to say I have accepted it and support it, I'm sure a lot of other people have accepted the idea as well. Being a graduate in the fall commencement on December 12th I found it disappointing and somewhat disrespectful that he decided not to walk across the stage in the field house and accept his diploma. I am aware he was traveling to seek other opportunities, but if he really cared about his experience at MSU he could have planned his trip after the graduating ceremony.
On another note, I also don't recall Dakota giving a sincere thank you to Montana state University, the same University that provided him with a full ride scholarship for the past four years. Not a thank you or a wish of good luck to his graduating seniors and teammates, not a word of congratulations or good luck to new head coach Jeff Choate. I think this shows very little respect to bobcat football fans and his fellow captains (Chad Newell).
Maybe he did on social media such as twitter or Facebook, but I have not seen such statements in newspapers or interviews.
I don't want to beat a dead horse on the Dakota topic, but I think this is very important and says a lot about his character.
If anyone has seen such statements I mentioned, please share!
