We have players everywhere and with JJ back it is easy to be very optimistic about griz football this year. However, talent doesn’t always mean championships. There has been much off field drama as well as installing a new offense, new offensive coordinator and god bless MD but I’m not sure he is the guy to get us to the bsc championship let alone the chipper. I think the cats will also be a fine team but they also have a few insurmountable weaknesses. DM is a great athlete but he does not handle the pressure well. Their O-line although improved is still not championship caliber and their defense is looking pretty thin, especially their front seven.
My bold prediction is that neither the cats nor griz holds a share of the bsc crown. This just may be the year that NAU, SSU or EWU will reach out and take it. Also look for PSU or UCD to make noise by taking out a couple of the top tier BSC teams and mix things up a bit.

Booger opts for kicking the extra point and you lose 28 to 29. When questioned about the call later, he states that "A one point loss looks a lot better on paper than a two point loss." Later he comes clean that he "Wasn't sure if you were allowed to go for two when there was no time left on the clock." And so starts another season of coaching blunders.
The triple option although cute, will never win a championship in this league.poorgriz said:indian-outlaw said:I agree with most on here that the griz this year are loaded with talent. No way. If we don't win at least a share... it will be Cal Poly.
Other than the six it already has?indian-outlaw said:The triple option although cute, will never win a championship in this league.poorgriz said:indian-outlaw said:I agree with most on here that the griz this year are loaded with talent. If you're talking about GSU's championships I'll concede. Oklahoma won with the option back in the day but those days are gone my friend. Cal Poly might win quite a few games and they might be in the top half of the league but there are just to many good linebackers in the league to run the table with a triple option anymore IMHO. If you want to put your money where your mouth is please send me a PM.grizband said:Other than the six it already has?indian-outlaw said:The triple option although cute, will never win a championship in this league.poorgriz said:indian-outlaw said:I agree with most on here that the griz this year are loaded with talent. I'm not looking for a bet here; just thought you forgot about GSU. I would never say the triple option can never win a title again, but I don't think Cal Poly will do it this year.indian-outlaw said:If you're talking about GSU's championships I'll concede. Our coaching blunders are sure atrocious this season  unlike MSU.....poorgriz said:Here's a not so bold prediction. You guys are down by 8 against App, 21 to 29. Griz go 5-0 against the teams that beat them last year.
Is Gamboa pretty good? You think there will be much drop off between him and hermanson? I haven't seen him play at all.AZGrizFan said:AZGrizFan said:Gamboa is starting SS by week 4.
Hmmm....may come true next weekend, just not the way I'd planned... :?
