Preseason bold prediction or going out on the limb.

The Missoulian will run a number of vague, unsubstantiated stories about the football program, and its players' involvement in various "improprieties." There will be no convictions, but yet another class will be smeared.

Oh, gawd, I hope not. Gwen is gone, so we can hope there's no one else interested in smearing UM athletics just for fun.

Ellis henderson...8 catches over 40 yards. Caleb Kidder over 10 sacks. We set a team record by for 4th down conversion attempts on "O". (sorry kickers) Missoula runs out of Makers Mark the last weekend of this month. I see more than "3" signs walking across the bridge that say "need money for pot", on August 31. :egriz:

After demolishing MSU, coach MD monkey stomps Rob Ash at midfield. After winning the National Championship he climbs a light pole like a ring-tailed lemur screaming "Kiss My Ass Naysayers!".

He then shouts " I'm retiring and going out on top! I gotta protect my, much improved, overall HC record now".

eGriz threads will actually last two full pages before they turn into useless pissing matches instead of just one page.

Kemp & Nguyen will not chase down any more errant pitches.

Coach MD leads the Griz successfully through the playoffs after which he is offered a 5 year contract to coach at Notre Dame. He accepts the offer and brings in Petrino as oc.

Bo Tully breaks-up two potential TD passes in the same game and also makes a touchdown saving tackle! First time for everything right?

...griz beat a s u 27/23...
...the griz crowd instillz will...
...north end zone like last time...

... 8-) ...

I agree with most on here that the griz this year are loaded with talent. We have players everywhere and with JJ back it is easy to be very optimistic about griz football this year. However, talent doesn’t always mean championships. There has been much off field drama as well as installing a new offense, new offensive coordinator and god bless MD but I’m not sure he is the guy to get us to the bsc championship let alone the chipper. I think the cats will also be a fine team but they also have a few insurmountable weaknesses. DM is a great athlete but he does not handle the pressure well. Their O-line although improved is still not championship caliber and their defense is looking pretty thin, especially their front seven.

My bold prediction is that neither the cats nor griz holds a share of the bsc crown. This just may be the year that NAU, SSU or EWU will reach out and take it. Also look for PSU or UCD to make noise by taking out a couple of the top tier BSC teams and mix things up a bit.

Not that I hope it happens but I could see that, esp for NAU or EWU although I still think Sac is going to be very good this year as well.

Trying to think of a bold prediction that is outside of the usual "we will win it all, we will crush the cats, we'll beat App" predictions...

Hmm...

Jordan Harper will be 3rd or 4th on the team in receiving yards and will be second or third best in total receiving touchdowns.

-AND-

TraVon Van and Jordan Canada combined will rush for more than double the yards as Zach Bauman with rush for this year.
