With three good RBs and a good blocking/recieving TE, as well as a solid O-Line, I see Montana playing as well as ever. The QB situation will take care of itself, as it always has. I see people getting apprehensive because we have no clear-cut QB to date, but as I stated the situation handles itself, i.e, (JJ, Ah-Yat, Edwards, etc.). McKinney or SSH both have the potential to become the next great Grizzly QB in a long line of them. The upside of this is the team, as well as we fans, will benefit from these two freshman providing continuity at this position for the next four years. I'm excited about this and putting the whole JJ situation behind us. Let's to move forward. As for Defense, with only two returning starters, some fans are deeply concerned. On paper it does not look good. But the game isn't played on paper. I'm optomistic and excited to see which players step up and perform well for this unit. Kanongata, Tripp, and Hermanson will provide great leadership. It's going to be interesting to see how special teams will play out, but I trust they are developing just fine. Coaching will be solid. It's a new day for Griz Nation. I see a fun and exciting season ahead. Enjoy the ride. Go Griz!!!

No, no, NO. The sky is falling. We're screwed. Done. Finished. Kaput. Just ask the 'scat fans....we'll be lucky to win 4 games this year.

Get with the program, C&G.

6-5 and I could easily see NAU, Liberty and UND as losses.

WSU - W
MSU - L

If JJ were QB, I'd have you guys at 8-3 with losses to App, EWU and MSU. So I say JJ is worth 2 wins to you all, and he was much more than that for you last year with a defense who graduated 9 starters and much more experienced OL and WR.
Just keep praying. We won't lose at home.

You did last time we came to town... and that was when you had a much more stable\solid team. A whole bunch of unknowns, scary changes heading into this season for you.

i actually agree with this post as well. except a very wise man said he talked to an even wiser coach that said without jj....the griz lose at least 4 more games than they would with him. so if jj doesn't play.....everyone please subtract 4 wins from your predictions....

lol. Funny, gloating over two wins in Missoula in two decades? Must be a Cat fan. Hate to break it to ya but them bobcats are gonna get another heavy beatdown and you know it. Bash the Griz while you can, reality will kick in for MSU come November. 2010 game was gift-wrapped for the kitties, and they still barely won. Last seasons matchup proved that game was a fluke.

we had justing effin roper.... enough said.... any of the current qb's on the roster are light years ahead of that clown....

We just have to take care of business at home, something we've had on lockdown since 2005. If we can do that, we only have to go 2-3 on the road to lock up a playoff spot. With our schedule we may even only need to go 1-4. With all the talent on this team, and that homefield advantage, I'm saying 7-4 at worst and hopeful for 9-2. So I guess I'll split the difference and pick 8-3

No kidding. Considering the three straight curb stompings we've delivered in Kittytown, it amazes me that they can even try to trash talk that win we had hand delivered to them.

If the Griz beat the Cats this year, it will be a supreme achievement over all the adversity (sex scandals, talent depletion, QB loss, coaching changes, etc., etc.). Why? Because MSU is supposed to be loaded this year, with a stable coaching staff, lots of talent, and a burning desire to burn, well, the Griz.

I, for one, see MSU as only one opponent on the Griz schedule. If the Griz lose the Griz/Cat game, it will not be the end of the world, as long as the Griz make the playoffs and do their thing. The Griz do better in the playoffs than the Cats. One thing is certain: The Cats haven't been a NC contender like the Griz for a long time. If the Cats don't make the semis this year, they never will make the NC game. For me, it's not who wins the Divide Trophy, which looks like a pile of dung. For me, it's who wins the FCS NC.

Well they were supposed to be all of that last year too. While #1 in the nation. And at home.

Two ass kickings later and they were exposed as paper tigers, again

A loaded bobcat team isn't any better than an average Grizzly team. And I do not see MSU getting anywhere near the semifinals, yet alone the chipper. Not this year, or any other. Just saying.

Hmmm...I could have sworn I saw them on the schedule 4 times. :?

The Cats should be decent this year, but last year they got exposed. The win by the Griz in Bozeman was more than a win...it was a total beatdown in every phase of the game...an ass kickin if you will.

I expect the Cats to fare better this year and they certainly have stability, but the Griz just have better talent. Last year was the perfect example.

I wish the playoff bracket would make it possible for the Griz to play the Cats in NC...now that would be awesome!
