The haters say the same things every year to absolutely ZERO fruition. Simply wishful thinking.

You've never lost as much talent and you've never had an off-season like this one. I say you win 6 games, but you have a L in Greeley.

I will take that bet.

It's not a bet, just my prediction.

Bring your best game ... you'll see ours.

HECK and YES!! It's gonna be GOOD.

Here's to seeing a knock-down, drag-out, slobber-knocker with the the last team holding the ball winning! :phat:

And thats gonna be the Griz! :D

Doubtful. We'll see.

Any Griz fans coming to Boone, get up early (like by 10:00 Eastern time) & get to campus. The tailgating should be as good as it gets. Kickoff is at 6:30. No need to bring much, 'cept your colors. Any parking lot other than where the students park there'll probably be tailgaters glad to entertain Griz fans. I'm not sure where my spot is (tickets & parking pass to arrive tomorrow - I think I'll be in Duncan lot), but hope to see y'all here. We do tailgating right. Come on by.

If you are so sure that the Griz will win 6 games and lose to UNC, put some cash on it... Oh, forgot, you don't bet. How about a sig/avatar bet?

8-3 App State, EWU and someone else will be losses. Me thinking NAU. Cats will lose to the Griz again.

Ashamed,

Could you please share some of your kool-aid with me. :) I am convinced that NAU could outgain UM by 100+ yards, play a turnover free game in the hostile environment that is Washington-Grizzly Stadium, Zach Bauman could run for 200 yards with 2 touchdowns and the Griz will still find a way to beat the Lumberjacks.

As for the 2012 Griz record:

8-3. Maybe 7-4. Dominant at home and struggle on the road. I predict losses @ App State and EWU. Griz also lose one or two games that many here on egriz don't think possible. Maybe even one at home? Good scheduling on the Griz's part as to avoid playing up (FBS) or down (Div. II or NAIA) results in the Griz earning one of the Big Sky Conference's playoff bids. The offseason coaching changes, overhaul on defense and inexperienced quarterbacks as well as off-field drama make things tough but don't lead to a collapse either.

I voted 9-2, but a 8-3 wouldn't surprise me either. While I am not as worried about the change of QB as some others, I do realize there are a lot of questions still unanswered at this point. This is not a team geared to go undefeated in my opinion, but a combo a strong running game, great front 7 and a decent schedule seems to still set the Griz up for a good season. A share of the Big Sky title and a playoff birth seems realistic, even with all the unknowns.

Grizzoola....I hope you live long enough to see Northern Colorado have a good year as you have been predicting it now for, at least, two years. Maybe....two wins.
So far, in Rachac's Position Rankings in the BSC in Cat-Griz Insider, UNC has placed 5 players, UM 7. I believe this is the most players UNC has placed, yet. Six positions have been ranked. QBs & other positions have yet to be ranked. There are some talented dudes on those other teams. MSU, this year, appears to be loaded.

Tonight I saw a man with no legs run in the semifinals of the 400 meters in the Olympics. Anything is possible. Tonight I am an optimistic 9-2.

Don't get me wrong, he is the man for doing what he does at such a high level and you can call me a douche, but I don't think he should be competing in the Olympics.

Not going to call you a douche, but I do disagree.

7-4

No playoffs. Too many distractions and more important things to focus on really IMO.
If UM goes 7-4 they're in because you play all D1 teams.

If we can split (go 2-2) in the 4 bigger games that I see, EWU, App, SUU, MSU I think we can take care of business on the rest.

This is how I see it as well...but I think the 4th "big game" is actually AT Weber...given that we've struggled there in recent years.

leadership at the qb position and we go 9-2, otherwise 7-4 and no playoffs.........
JJ brought leadership to the field and ran the offense.........the team could count on him to get the job done.
i know we lost major defensive players especially at key positions on the front line and at the cb positions, however, it is my assumption that we can cover these positions well enough to win if we have the qb that takes on the leadership role............to the extent that JJ did this last year.
so........he is gonna have to be a major player not some mediocre dude

Why not? Though I do think he shouldn't be doing the paraolympics if he's in the big boy games. It's a great story but it seems he's playing it both ways, either commit to the regular games or stay with the other competition. Just my take at this point.

6-5 and I could easily see NAU, Liberty and UND as losses.

USD - L
App - L
Liberty - W
NAU - W
EWU - L
UNC - W
SUU - L
UND - W
IDS - W
WSU - W
MSU - L

If JJ were QB, I'd have you guys at 8-3 with losses to App, EWU and MSU. So I say JJ is worth 2 wins to you all, and he was much more than that for you last year with a defense who graduated 9 starters and much more experienced OL and WR.

Just keep praying. We won't lose at home.

Normally, I'd say that 6-5 is about where I'd put the cats with their talent level this year. But when I take a look at your schedule,

I gotta add on a few wins for the many patsy games.
