Here was last year's - I have no idea if they matched up closely in years prior, but these were pretty close given they weren't voting in the same room.

So very, very wrong...embarrassing for both. Sheesh.
 
Those pre season poles have little value. The coaches will simply pick in the order that teams finished last year and he media is dumber than dirt.

I suppose that there is some value in motivating teams that are picked below where they think they should be or putting targets on the backs of those who may be picked a bit above where they should be.

It may be a bit of an honor to know that other coaches think you are good.

It also gives us fans some thing to yak about. :clap:

So, coaches will pick Griz 6?

Most will. Some will pick the Griz a bit higher, simply on reputation. I think it is a fair bet that the coaches pole will have Sac and MSU as 1 and 2. There could be a little movement in 3 to 6, but not a lot. All teams are undefeated until that first league game. Right now it's a 10 way tie for first place. I predict that a couple of weeks in there will only be a few still tied for first. :thumb:

You may well be right, but in most coaches eyes, a champion sits on the throne up to the time they get knocked of of it. In the preseason, that hasn't happened yet.
