Interesting comments. But no 'that was awesome,' or 'wow! now I've experienced the real thing.' I noticed the cannon shooters were in poor form, like most of the other failures noted. But, they only had six TDs to get it right. Used to be just a matter of getting anyone out of the way, then BOOM! Seems they couldn't get it right until the PAT. Maybe it was just muted by the audio guys at SWX.
As some have stated, they only had two years to plan this. Time to plan and implement electronic tickets and the virtual program. Maybe they actually had virtual concessions, but 'marketing' just didn't have the time to inform everyone. Marketing failure from the vaunted College of Business who rolls out grads and diplomas like they come off a roll. Marketing failure from the pride of UMs operations should be impossible.
The Beer Garden appears to have been successful, at least in distracting from the other areas UM failed at pulling off. The old 'Keep 'em drunk and happy' ploy. :thumb:
If I knew Bodnar was giving a speech, I definitely would have come. And those 20th Anniversaries happen regularly, you know, every 20 years. Start planning now, Seth.
Griz gameday was a product of years of experience, and was a source of pride. To see it fail like this is deeply disturbing. Marketing joins the Alumni Dept. who failed in the Homecoming Parade debacle. And still no explanation that anyone could believe.
