Pre-game

The “woke” people at the U are arguing if “CottonEye-Joe” isn’t PC. Cancel culture rears it’s small minded head. Heard from a reliable source.

The crying about home game experience takes away from the play on the field. No concessions, no beer, no pre game, no PA, no songs ….no problem I will travel across country or across town to watch the Griz.

Interesting comments. But no 'that was awesome,' or 'wow! now I've experienced the real thing.' I noticed the cannon shooters were in poor form, like most of the other failures noted. But, they only had six TDs to get it right. Used to be just a matter of getting anyone out of the way, then BOOM! Seems they couldn't get it right until the PAT. Maybe it was just muted by the audio guys at SWX.

As some have stated, they only had two years to plan this. Time to plan and implement electronic tickets and the virtual program. Maybe they actually had virtual concessions, but 'marketing' just didn't have the time to inform everyone. Marketing failure from the vaunted College of Business who rolls out grads and diplomas like they come off a roll. Marketing failure from the pride of UMs operations should be impossible.

The Beer Garden appears to have been successful, at least in distracting from the other areas UM failed at pulling off. The old 'Keep 'em drunk and happy' ploy. :thumb:

If I knew Bodnar was giving a speech, I definitely would have come. And those 20th Anniversaries happen regularly, you know, every 20 years. Start planning now, Seth.

Griz gameday was a product of years of experience, and was a source of pride. To see it fail like this is deeply disturbing. Marketing joins the Alumni Dept. who failed in the Homecoming Parade debacle. And still no explanation that anyone could believe.
Gee I’m a marketing grad from the “vaunted college of business”. Ya I guess they just handed my degree to me at the door as I enrolled. Too bad UM has the top ranked business school in the Big Sky and one of the top schools in the northwest asshole!

Where were the Vikings?! Did they move? That’s one of my superstitions - is that I must have one in those super close playoff games. 😂

I looked for the Vikings but they weren't there. But, they also didn't have Vikings for the very first game two years ago either. So, I hope there are Vikings two weeks from now.

Nothing. Pregame was pretty worthless really.

As was the rest of the stadium experience. Probably less than half the concession stands were open and those that were ran out of stuff very early. Weird.

Thanks. Pretty sad. Heads need to roll in Missoula. Coulda at least had the Air National Guard fly over. They fly over my house multiple times daily. What, half an hour flying time each way?
Actually I wouldn’t be surprised if our federal government has drastically limited extracurricular flyovers.

Several questions. As I did not attend, and haven't for a long time, was the pre-game punctuated with the Silvertip Skydivers and, as it is the 9/11 anniversary, was there a military flyover?

Nothing. Pregame was pretty worthless really.

Yeah was really flat.

Yep it is because they suddenly believe the phrase cotton eyed is a black person with very light blue eyes and the contrast of dark skin tone around white eyeballs in black people and hence forth "racist". Basically the continued woke movement of trying to relate everything remotely related to southern culture as inherently racist. I see that traditionally the phrase Cotton Eyed actually usually referred to someone whose eyes were milky white from bacterial infections of trachoma or syphilis, cataracts or glaucoma. The black person thing is something new made up by woke culture to feel offended by something so who knows.

Bigtyme, I had that exact discussion with my I wife. 20 years to the day after 9/11 and the fact we just pulled out of Afghanistan. I can imagine there was some restrictions on a governmental level. Any stadium is a much bigger target than the final toll ended up being during 9/11. I was hoping for a flyover or air drop in, but at the end of the day it was just nice to be back in a mostly full WGS.

Can't be backed up with stats but how many of these complaining about Monte, Cotton Eyed Joe, Bring Em 'Out; being missing, were also complaining about how "lame and outdated" they were when they happened? Trust me lads, you have the best football experience on Earth and when you try to politicize why you missed a song you thought was overplayed for years, you sound 8-ply.

I heard Taliban influenced the university from playing Neil Diamond songs and the reason most didn’t notice the flyover was the use of black stealth helicopters at a night game and of course as the laser ticket reader implants communist mind control mind microchips as people enter there has been known memory loss side effects …posting for a friend

We got to stop these woke mother fuckers from ruining cotton eyed joe. Come on why does the PC crowd get their way all the time. Dang namit, quit your bitchin and get a petition circulated to bring it back, who’s with me?
