I'll take that bet. Absolutely. I'll bet you $100 and a 20 point win is a push. Anything less i win, anything more, you win.

Cool, I'm in. If you are coming up for the game and I lose, I'll even man up and hand over the cash in person with hat in hand.

Should be a fun bet!

Well I'll be honest, other than the MSU game it's about the ONLY other game I'm gonna try and make it up for. The rest of that home slate is....meh. I'll let you know either way.

Sweet, sounds like a plan.

I don't hate the bet for either AZ or Elrod.

35-14 Elrod wins
35-16 AZ wins

Vegas will give the Griz 10-13 points right off the bat - Home game and division differential. The rest of the spread will be based on quality of the teams. Ferris will get some credit here...Also - remember both teams will have played 2 games prior, so Vegas will have more to look at than we do right now.

I'm basing my bet off of two things: 1) It's Ferris State, D-II repeat champ and predicted to win it again in 2023 and 2) BH's innate unwillingness to run up a score. I can see getting up by 25 and the winning by 18. I can totally see that happening. If we get up by 20 he's gonna try and shorten the game...it's in his DNA. And that's when games get closer than maybe the score would appear.

That is so interesting that we view him so differently. I have gotten the point in Bobby 2.0 that he has actually liked running it up more than he used to. Part of my thought process is that I do see him not letting off the gas.

Not trying to say I'm right and you're wrong, we obviously already made the bet and all, but I find it out that interesting minds were in such exactly opposite places there.

I agree with AZ here...for THIS game. He won't open the playbook any further than required with conference games forthcoming.

He would absolutely run it up on a few conference foes.

I will give Elrod some leeway here...last year, breaking in a new QB, he left Johnson in VERY late in blowout non-conference games. He may do the same this year with Vidlak. But I still think he'll move to a power run game almost exclusively if we get up by 20 and that bodes well for me. I think Ferris is the toughest test of our 3 non-conference games...

Absolutely agree that it is the toughest of our non-conference games. And hey, if this goes well for the Griz, at least you and I will still have something to be excited about in the 4th!

And...the winner of the bet might just buy post-game drinks!

You know, I've heard a lot worse ideas around here.

Washington also ended up being a pretty bad team. A great win for the griz but, didn't they finish the year with 4 wins? Griz will win and I'll put money on that.

Doesn't change the fact that they give out 85 schollies, we give out 63, they had more 4-star athletes than we had 2-star...etc., etc. Yet we went into their house and beat them.

Anyone who doesn't think this game is a risk is kidding themselves. And Addict, how many points are you giving? I might be interested in a side bet...

Griz by 17 at least. I'd put money on that but, I do believe the griz will win by 24+

I bet smart, not by heart 🤣

Do we have a power run game?

your bold confidence in hauck has never been swayed by the facts, so... sure, i'll stay tuned.
Oh, but I very much am swayed. Facts like a 116-34 record at Montana, 67-18 in BSC, 7 consecutive BSC championships, 3 trips to Natty. Those are not just facts, but exceptional facts. In all your deep football knowledge, you sound just like the SDSU "fans" attacking the HC before they won last year.

While your boy, Stitt. is likely selling used cars in CO.

living life in the past is ok, i guess, if that is what you want to do. me, i'd rather confront the new, which doesn't include stitt. he's just a comparison point.
