I want to amend my earlier post above about KAY's numbers in the game. He didn't have 4 incompletions that were his fault, he had at most 3. I forgot about the play where the protection broke down and his throwing arm was hit. It was originally called a fumble, but then changed to an incompletion after review.
So missing your intended target on 3 of 30 passes (because of throwing inaccuracy) is hardly a bad game.
The insistence on running into the middle of the line on first down in the second half was the biggest culprit in the second-half doldrums. Receivers not running routes beyond the sticks on third down was another contributing factor.
