Dukes in Scottsdale had more people inside and trying to get in (many couldn't get tables) than the Cats had at Game Day. Despite the ass-kicking, the game and festivities were fun. There were even some fun Bobcats (surprised me, ha). Name-dropping alert. My wife and I sat with Swink, McCord and Tru.

Almost went there to watch but I knew the crowd would be huge. Watched it home in Mesa. By the way, the talent and crew from GameDay said it was the best show ever. They were extremely happy.

Mesa, AZ...REAL MONTANA.

Jesus christ you Bobcat incels are insufferable. Enjoy Arizona you fucking pussy.

How quickly we forget. A year ago the griz killed the cats. The cats changed qb's to their younger more mobile option and he led them to the championship game. We should get in the playoffs and anything can happen after that.

Exactly. Antyhing CAN happen in the playoffs for the griz. As long as they are matching up with a team under .500

Bobby seems to hang his hat on the team will go and compete. Curious if what we saw today was his idea of competing?

Brint,
Thanks for taking the time for the writeup. I also appreciate you leaning on that changes need to be made but stopped short of naming what or whom. Good on you man.

Have you watched Britt in practice? Have you seen him run all of the Griz offense?

Practice! Practice! Are you fu—ing serious?. Who gives a sh-t about that? He is a gamer and has proven it in GAMES. You are a loser man. For someone who has played the game, you are a dumb sumbitch.

Hoopsfan's all about practices, scrimmages and summer camps!

And attending games, talking to coaches, players and parents, reading lots of articles, and having played the game. How about you? Mostly just sitting on the bench, and wishing you knew more about the game?

Guys, going at each other doesn't solve today. Nor does who knows what or who played, coached or served the Gatoraide. The administration has to figure this one out or they need to get out. Today was bad enough. No since in piling on each other.

Maybe they just aren't a good football team? And as far as the administration goes, the rest of uofm isn't doing too great either so I'm not sure why we think any of this will get fixed.

Positive thinking will solve it. Good fans don’t question anything. They just support the coaches and players and be thankful they have a team. You know, kids are starving in Africa so worry about that.

I'm going to guess this is sarcasm...

Trying out the PlayaRep vibe.

Solid post Brint!

Pretty much sums up my feelings as well.

Probably one of the most demoralizing performances I have witnessed in 32 years as a fan.

From the Cats first possession, I knew we were in trouble, but never did I expect that we would get rocked like we did.

It seems like all season the opposing coaches that we suffered our losses to were playing chess while we were playing checkers. The quality of coaching and talent in the Big Sky has evolved and unless we make some changes, we will continue to suffer more of what we saw this year.

I don’t see how we are predicted to finish any higher than 5th in the Big Sky next year.

Spot on Brint. It starts and ends with Bobby accepting blame for where Griz football is today, but he has to be willing to look in the mirror and humbly take responsibility for the state of the team and I have not seen any indication that he is capable of doing that.

I know my loyalty to UM is waning and am thinking about voicing this frustration to the AD, which goes as far as my disappointment for the military appreciation day game product on display last week.

No one person is bigger than the program itself and my perception is that Bobby has postured himself to be the end-all for Griz football, which doesn’t end well for anyone involved. Everything about today indicates we are now second fiddle to a great athletic program in Bozeman. Their energy is bleeding success on the football field and basketball court.

I was not a fan of Hauck 2.0 and this is why. I think Bobby’s ceiling was revealed when he left for greener pastures, when the BSC was lacking stiff competition. The transfer portal has changed that and now we are out-coached repeatedly by MSU, Sac St, WSU, and now Idaho.

Like others, I really don’t care about the Griz making the playoffs. I will be watching Tommy Mellott though as he is a great ambassador for the state of Montana and the product they have put on the field is solid.

It is a tough day to be a Griz.

At the end of the day we could have Joe Montana in his prime at QB, and when you go 60 minutes of football and NEVER force the other team to punt, you ain’t fucking winning. Period.

I kinda hope we don't get in, I'm afraid if we do we will play some crappy team the first round and win. Then that will give Hauck the false reasoning to not make any real changes. I think for the long term Griz missing the playoffs is better for the program possibly. If bobby was serious about developing Britt he would have played him more in the ear season then he may have being ready to play vs sac st or Weber. This maybe the most disappointing season ever I just want it to end asap and start over.
If Bobby weren't actually serious about developing Britt, Kris Brown would've been your QB2 today. He made that change, so why are we saying he wouldn't be willing to make other changes?

It took three humiliating and eventual season-ending losses to make that change. Read the bolded sentence again. Anybody with even a passing knowledge of football could see the difference in talent, heart and upside between Brown and Britt. Except apparently ANYONE on the coaching staff. Until it literally was too late. Hell, you could see it LAST year when Bobby gave up on Brown in the JMU game. Yet magically he was BACK as the backup this year…and then despite quarter after quarter of NAIA-level QB play, he sticks with him and loses 3 games in the process. Bobby’s unwillingness to properly develop Britt and get him game ready cost us 3 games this year. All winnable. But we go into Bozeman instead on a wing and a prayer, needed a victory to secure a playoff berth.

Would not surprise me in the least to see Britt, Bergen, Grossman, Fontes, and a couple others join Knight in the portal…to separate themselves from this shitshow and find a program that wants to use their talents instead of wasting away.
