So again...why was Yamen out???

Stitt said in the Monday presser that he was hurt. No disclosure as to what that issue is. He said they were hopeful he would be ready for UUNI, but that remains to be seen.

And most all decisions of when to run were perfect and had good results.
Well, the touchdown scramble, albeit painful looking, was a good one, but really, 29 net yards, 20 out of 49 being losses?

Compared to a QB who can actually run well, it may not be impressive.

Compared to Gus last year, I think it's a notable improvement. 2015 Gus likely only loses yards and doesn't score on that run (but then again he did break his leg).

If memory serves me, Gus's average last year was 26 net yards per game; so Saturday's was about par.

4.1 yards per game in 2015, according to GoGriz.com.

Not to mention he had 1 rushing TD in 7 games last year, and already has 2 this year, in addition to tying his TOTAL net yards rushing from last season in one game.

The second half was reassuring that there is a football team there, but, I also got the sense that the Griz were able to take advantage of a "gassed" St. Francis. That's not going to happen in the BSC.
St. Francis would be at the middle of the BSC in spite of a lack of depth. Bagley is as tough a RB as we'll see and we won't see a better player than Jerome. The QB was plain vanilla, but unlike ours, he took pretty good care of the ball and kept the ball away from the UM offense.

Joe Protheroe in two week in SLO may have something to say about if Bagley is as tough a RB as you will see. 225 with attitude and the speed to go the distance if he hits a seem. Ran for over 3,000 yards as a senior in high school and had 112 yards last year against the Griz straight up the middle. Did not have a run for negative yards in 2015.

After reviewing the " The Preditions For The Saint Francis Game " it is easy to come to the conclusion that, opinions are like $ssholes every one got one, and not only the ones that never played the game, but most that post on egriz know very little about football, but are great with opinions, including myself.

Yeah ain't America great.

Bagley is 230, had attitude (broke a sh!t-ton of tackles) and had the speed to go the distance (if it weren't for a very speedy PAC 12 safety the Griz landed, who barely and I mean barely caught/tripped up Bagley up the sideline). Bagley was a 3-star recruit. What was Protheroe?

Protheroe is better than Bagley right now, regardless of what high school ranking he had

Additionally Protheroe benefits from a system where the defense cannot single in on him, where with Bagley we somewhat were able to focus on him.

When talking tough and systems, Protheroe gets tackle on EVERY triple option play regardless if he has the ball or not.

There's a couple of guys we are playing this weekend that should be in this conversation. Their quarterback is pretty special, fast and strong.

Seems to be a lot of Gus bashing! The o-line had more responsibility in those turnovers than Gus! Like any QB, when given time, things go well. That pocket in the first half collapsed too fast for any QB. In the second half, all went smoothly, as the o-line finally gave Gus some time! Something this blog is failing to do! Lots to work on, but sheesh, His had some pretty good stats.

Wrong. While I agree that the OL struggled, a good QB is able to adjust to the game. Gus struggled big time in the first half and is responsible for his turnovers. Gus needs better situation awareness. Gus made adjustments in the second half but still is very inconsistent. I am curious to see which Gus shows up Saturday.

I want to support Gus, but, watching him on Saturday, it was hard to believe he is a 5th year senior.
