A rebuild year after last year's juggernaut.

Fun thing about college sports, programs are forced to rebuild to some degree each year no matter their record the previous season. Nature of the beast.

...and some teams that win or nearly win championships every, single year rebuild far better than those that do not.

Winning helps in this regard.

If this is a re-build year, what will next year be?

Yet another rebuild, just like everyone else.

Please inform the Dakota state schools and the neighbors. They did not get the memo.

They got the reload memo instead...

Playing with words. Every school has to replace players every year, whether you call it rebuild, reload, whatever. Nothing but semantics.

Question about that third and 22 yard pass that was a catch then a play later wasn’t a catch.

Rewatched the game last night.

What the heck happened? Heard no official explanation.

What I was looking for is what did the referee say as to why they did what they did, even though it was wrong. Or did our QBs knee touch the ground before he threw the ball?

No. They switched from a competed pass to an incomplete pass. AFTER another play had been run. And WITHOUT any review or going to the monitors to verify.

Technically a false start is a pre-snap penalty, so no subsequent play was run. However, the fact that they didn’t even go to a formal review involving the on field ref is mind-blowing, but seems in line with what we’ve come to expect from the conference refs.

True. I have the talk with my brother in law every time the Bison get a new coach. They don’t change systems, maybe add on, but the stay on course, hiring within. His says they are done, washed up, and boom there is another title. When you are successful you do that, hire within. Add the depth of the players and you have a winning formula.

The Griz had this over a decade ago. They were winners, making top recruits want to play for them. The had an edge, a fear of playing them and entering Wash/Griz. Those days are gone.

People won’t admit it, living in the past.
