That stuck out to me also, 1122. That and the comment at the end about not getting over the loss. I think everyone expected the next sentence to be, we'll learn from this game and get better...

It seemed like a really tough press conference for Hauck--and it's understandable. He looked like a guy that just got pummeled by a rival.

I'm not sure I would put much stock into what he said. I'm sure the coaching staff saw the tape and recognized the complexity and multiple looks and personnel the cats running game presented and tried to prepare for it. I'm also doubtful that this staff won't use this loss as a motivation for playoffs and of course next year's game.

Actually, Hauck said all the way back on monday and on his radio show that he believed Troy would play a lot of snaps, it not all of them at QB?RB. I don't know what led up to him believing that but that's what he thought and he answered one of Colter's questions in Saturday's presser that that's where it hurt the most. They spent almost all of their prep time on Troy playing QB, and then when he didn't they weren't "as prepared" for some of the other stuff. And yes, he admitted it's an excuse, but it doesn't make it untrue that they practiced all week for Troy at QB, with Graves playing the role of TA.

Absolutely crazy to be honest. The guy gets a handful of snaps every game and had less and less as the season went along. Why on earth would he gameplan all week for a linebacker who might get 5 or so snaps on offense? Just seems odd.

Hell, a reporter even told him we use like 7 backs in the press conference! Guess how many guys got carries? 7. Guess it shows the impact Andersen is capable of having.

Yep. Makes no sense to me either.
maybe Choate dropped an "off the record" hint to a reporter that tipped off Bobby that TA would be playing lots of QB 8-)

The Griz had hired Fusion GPS to do the opposition research. Besides reporting that TA would play all of the game, both ways, they also said there were Russian spies in Missoula.

Gotta be it.

Just a couple of points. 12 game schedule to get to 9.

Stitt never lost like this to MSU

What appeared to be a a difficult schedule turned out to be not so difficult.

2017 team was 7-4 and played 7 of the last 8 games with a back up red shirt freshman QB and the 8th with a WR at QB. That would doom any team.

All the crap stitt gets on here I suggest you look around this team and think about what this team looks like without the guys stitt brought in.
I look around and think about how Dante Olson wasn't good enough to play other than special teams with Stitt's teams. Only then because he didn't care about special teams.

You say the schedule wasn't difficult; the experts with the algorithms say it was. Possibly you missed USD beating SDSU today and what Monmouth has been doing. But yeah, Weber and SacSt were real weak, as was MSU. You're a Never-Haucker idiot.

The first sign of losing an argument is name calling. Unlike you I am not binary. It’s ok to criticize and still be on the side of what you are criticizing.

Was EWU and Davis what any expected? NO
Hence the schedule was not as difficult as everyone thought in September.
Stop with the Monmouth. They are a one and done team in the tournament.

Sorry, but your comment about the schedule is just plain dumb. The schedule included 3 top 5 teams and 4 playoff teams overall. Tell me the last time the Griz faced 3 top 5 teams in a season!

He's just an axe grinder. Can pretty much be ignored.
