Opinion of the Griz performance aside (which I frankly agree with your last comments), how sad does a 60+ year old man have to be to develop this kind of obsession with e-griz?

It’s fucking clinical at this point man. There has got to be something out there that can fill this void.

Wish you the best man……

Face the facts, dude. The Griz could EASILY be 5-5 right now. The wins versus Poly and South Dakota were gifts. This team is not even close to Griz teams we have had in the past 20 years. They are undisciplined, and poorly-coached. The secondary is the worst in the Big Sky. The O-line is not much better. We need to get rid of Delaney , and both coordinators next season and start over. If not, the weekly product you see on the field is what you will get!

Now, go whine to the mods to have me banned, cause you can't take anyone providing an antidote to your sugar coating.
But they aren't ... like it or not (and, I admit, it's not always been pretty), they are 8-2, and you need to live with it.

Total sugar coating from the king of sugar coaters. They "scrapped the run early because the passing was working well"? Please! So, all of those zero-yardage runs were just a mirage? 2.1 yards per carry? Your spin is about as valid as Obama's. I think Jay Carney should yield to you as press sec. You are much better at the spin than he is.

So 19.8 yards per completion is a bad thing? I'd go with what was working, and that was passing the ball. Anyone actually watching that game saw it too. The passing game was working, the running game wasn't.

So, PSU is your answer to a good team? ROFL.

Them, Cal Poly, and possibly Sac and USD. Yep, our best wins so far. The Griz play who is scheduled. They couldn't predict that App would fall apart this year, or that UND would crash back down to earth after a good prior season.

I don't get why some fans have such a hard time with this. What else is the team to do? You play who is booked, and going into the season (and years ago when these games were booked) this looked like an incredibly difficult schedule.

They were the result of continued execution and not giving up. I have no issue with that. Glad they turned out the way they did vs the opposite.

They're 8-2 coming off their worst year in a 20 year history. Did you expect them to just suddenly be another 2008/2009-esque team? Come on man.

carny worker said:

No they're not. 9th of 13th in pass defense. 7th of 13th in pass efficiency allowed. 2nd most interceptions in the Big Sky.

Check stats before spouting off on things that aren't true.

carny worker said:

2nd best scoring offense, 3rd best in yardage, 5th best rushing offense, 2nd best pass efficiency, tied for 3rd best in sacks allowed.

Yep... "terrible!"

Look I think they need improvement here too, it's a great group of talent that's yet to put a complete game together, but tearing these guys to shreds is just dumb, and again ignores the final product.

Dude, thanks, but I am just fine. I just get sick of reading all of the flowery one-sided B.S. from Wahlberg-world, and reading all of his lemmings buy into his sh+t hook line and sinker. I don't want or need validation. I just want to be able to post a contrarian position to bring levity to the stuff posted here. I am a huge Griz fan, but I don't drink the Kool-Aid. No poster should EVER be banned! Period!

Just received two PMs saying that my comments were on the money. Guess they are afraid to post those thoughts on the thread, for fear of the Hitler Youth. Too bad egriz rejects objectivity, and bans posters to provide it.

Lesson #1. When you are getting owned, never attempt to continue spinning. Just makes it worse, and cause a severe reduction in personal credibility. ;)

Dude, I have forgotten more about football than you'll ever know. At least I coached the game. You just Google past facts then embellish them with your extreme wit to confuse and impress the pedestrian fan. It works, huh?

I'm sorry but a team with a 4-6 record is not a quality opponent...

LOL. You got that right. Brint is such a homer. He refuses to admit anything negative about the Griz. I like how he tried to justify the 3 interceptions, and the play of the offensive line. The Grizzlies had 53 yards rushing, a 2.1 yards/carry average, and Johnson spent much of the day picking himself up off the turf. Trying to say that South Dakota was a tough opponent is a joke. The facts are that the Griz have not defeated a real playoff type team this season, and have struggled even against average opponents. The Griz offensive coordinator needs to teach Johnson how to to read the blitz and hit the hot receiver. He seems to be clueless in this area.

Just a realty check post to counteract the sugar coating.
I'm not sure its Brint who needs a reality check. SD is a quality team, that is reality. The Griz beat them even though Jordy had a bad game. If he had a good game, we would have won by at least 2 td's, maybe 3.

Keep living in denial. We were schooled by South Dakota except for those two lucky plays.
I guess you're right. Every good Griz play is lucky. We should have shamrocks on our helmets instead of griz paws since we've been the luckiest team in the FCS for the last 30 years. Damn it feels good to be lucky.

Because he is Alpha incognito and no I'm not referring to the football player previously on the Dolphins. The definition is having one's identity concealed, as under an assumed name.

Neither Congress nor Chris nor the egriz moderators shall make any law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, to petition the government for a redress of grievances, or to comment on pedestrian, sugar-coating posts on egriz. Especially Wahlberg posts.

Well, we could always hope -- but we KNOW that will not be the case. And, FWIW, you have "exposed" absolutely nothing but your ridiculous self.

Right on, but they don't have the gonads to allow me to post. I'm too sharp for most of these pin heads. Easiest way to avoid dealing with my superior observations and football knowledge is to ban me. Pathetic? Yes, I know, but talk to them about it, not me. We know who the invertebrates are. :thumb:
