I wish someone would tell Selvig that he cannot dribble well.....now, after a great start, the Griz are returning to recent form and letting PSU back into this game....these announcers are very good, by the way....
correction....they WERE.....

Griz out to prove they can shoot the three tonight. 33-24 Griz.

6:25 left in the half.

That's kind of scary. The Griz are not a good 3 point shooting team. Jamar and Selvig are the only 2 that are semi-consistent from the 3. I hope we don't get carried away with taking 3s and get away from our strengths.

Yeah, could be, but so far the results aren't too bad.

Anyone else having trouble with stops and starts with BSTV?

Not having any troubles here. Is windows update downloading updates on your machine that might be eating up your bandwidth?

Thanks Dexter, not that I know of, but how can I tell?

Not sure why some have bitched about Ward. He is a very physical defender and has great touch from about 15 feet out. I have loved watching him play since Boise St. last year.

If you are running Windows XP look for a little yellow shield down in the lower right by the clock. If it's there click on it and see if it's downloading anything. If it isn't and just wants you to install updates, then don't worry about it (install them later though after the game so you are up to date). If there is no yellow shield looking thing down there, then it's probably not windows update.

Probably wouldn't hurt to restart if you haven't for a while.... Of course as I'm typing this my bigskytv feed has started crapping out on me every 45 seconds or so. Guess I'll be digging into my connection at halftime to figure out why too :P

In case anyone is wondering, cats are down 34-29 with 11 seconds left in the first half. Laron Griffin for EWU has as many rebounds as the entire cat team (10) Cats are being out rebounded 20-10 right now. The cats are sure in an unbelievable slump right now.

Great half Griz! Good to see Cherry kinda back to himself, and everyone else is doing their thing! Both teams are shooting lights out, and the officials are letting them play! I think if we stay in our zone, they will struggle to score on it! Great job Ward!

Just an observation..... Ward does a very fundamentally un-sound thing on defense. When guarding an opponent, he watches the opponent's eyes. This is a big no-no on defense, and his man has beaten him easily going baseline because of this. Ward should look at the ball, or the opponent's waist, NOT the opponent's eyes. The eyes never beat you, and body can not get around you if the waist doesn't go too.

Ward has been great on offense. But, he has not impressed me on "D". When guarding a wing player, you are always taught to shade the opponent to the baseline, so he can not beat you there. Forcing him to go into the middle allows defensive help to pick up your man. Just sayin'.

One advantage with Ward out there. The GRIZ are a much better running the floor with him in for either Selvig or Qvale. I wonder if this is a sign of things to come next year. Cherry is looking great physically, and appears to have founds his mojo again.

Now lets find our defense. PSU has attacked the basket great against us this game. Is it me, or does it look like Tinkle has loosened the reigns offensively. It looks like the players are playing much more free. Most definitely, less plauding, and looking to score sooner. Also Cherry is handling the ball much more instead of that perimeter weave, which drives me crazy. Very impressed with that 1st half, not only by the score, but how they are running the offense.

Keep it up GRIZ!
