The offense is the untested variable. Our crutch remains, AGAIN, the defense. No prediction on the outcome, total crap shoot.

Really? We've not been good at ST since BH left; what drives that opinion?nzone said:special teams to be good,
Weird. I guess I'm not the only one who thinks EG has secret kitty envy...getgrizzy said:As usual you turn an interesting thread with potential into a Cat thread.  2 Cat fans who pretend to not be Cat fans, posting on a Griz board talking about secret Cat envy - priceless.IroneagleXP said:Weird. And everyone else is a Griz fan that thinks anyone that would get on the right side of a discussion when it involves something to do with the Cats must be a Cat fan? Really? This board has devolved that far? It just doesn't get anymore pathetic than that. If BG doesn't fit Stitt's profile for a QB then what offense does he fit?? Stitt has said time and time again that having a mobile QB is the icing on the cake for that position. Reading the defense quickly, arm strength and accuracy, and footwork in the pocket are the big ones for Stitt. BG has that.poorgriz said:grizcountry420 said:New QB will be the biggest question mark in regards to how our offense performs. If our o-line was anything like last year i would say he's going to have a difficult time back there but if the line holds up he might stand a chance..
You hit that one on the head. In my humble opinion the QB position is going to be your downfall in 2015. Nothing against BG, he's a damn good QB (My buddy watched him all through high school and said he'd be the next griz great). He's not in the best system for his style, and of course Stint would love to have a mobile QB with BG's brains, pasing ability, and ability to quickly read defenses..... but unfortunately Stint doesn't have that. He's the best you have for Stint's offense at this point, and from the sounds of things - he's not only the #1 going into fall but he's WAY ahead of all the others. That tells me your #2 guy still has yet to be found and is going to struggle when he gets thrown to the fire. Ramping up to run 100 offensive plays a game..... and considering your smallish O line, BG is going to get hurt. Unfortunately it's not a matter of if but when. Hopefully he can withstand the barrage coming at him those first few games where you're getting things figure out with the new scheme.

I think we will take care of business against CP this time around, not a trap game after the shit show of last years game where Ty and Mick couldn't even spell Cal Poly.
NAU always seems to give us their best shot, they could be a trap game for us this year.
I agree that Stitt definitely brings WAY more attentiveness to the coaching staff, but still...we are talking about a team with little depth at OL and WR on top of a new offense. Those first 3 games are going to be a giant cocktail of adrenaline, cameras, headlines, and travel for the whole team. NAU could be a nasty hangover.get'em_griz said:brewskis said:Going with 2-2. I honestly don't see any game this year being a "trap game". Stitt seems to be the kind of guy that will have his guys focused, executing, and not getting lazy.

I agree with you and thank you. However, you need to change your "I'm a fan of:" statement.IroneagleXP said:Personally, I hope you guys beat the shit out of NDSU. It would be a great upset, and I love upsets. Plus, it would give this conference a much needed boost in credibility.
