Only four ranked teams lost, and none of those were low in the list. So I do not expect to see any team dropped from the top-25. (Of course, SDSU losing to a pitiful 1-6 Missouri State team could prove me wrong on that point.
) The SHSU loss will hurt them, but probably not enough to drop them out of the top-10: They were on the road and, of course, McNeese was also in the top-10. In fact, it would not surprise me if SHSU comes in at one or even two spots higher than my guess.
Unfortunately, those changes don’t leave any room to move the Griz up (and they probably don’t deserve to anyway). The good news is that #11 and #12 both lost. Thus, UM’s close call against Cal Poly should keep them from moving down despite their win (which has happened, if you recall).
UNI’s loss to an unranked opponent may hurt them even more than I’m showing. I would not be surprised if they dropped another spot or two. The UNH upset of 'Nova could make for some interesting changes in the lower part of the poll. Villanova will certainly drop ... I’m guessing a fairly “typical” six spots. And normally the lower-ranked but winning team would move up 3-4 ... but even with the win, UNH is only a .500 team (3-3), with no other quality wins. They could go up, but that would move them past 7-1 Tennessee State and a pretty solid 4-2 Ga Southern team.
