I stuck with games that were a little more my generation. Pre 2007 is gonna be tough to remember. those 2008-2019 choices are awesome though. I remember all those games like they were yesterday.

Getting some calls / texts / messages. One that I missed on here was the 2008 Griz-Cat game with the throwbacks.

BW what was the first game at WA Griz with lights, it was playoff game, ESPN brought the lights in. that one should be in the top 20

Ohhh yeah that's a good one.

2004 playoff game against New Hampshire. UNH's head coach was Chip Kelly. If I remember correctly he was a little hot under the collar after the game.

Nah that was Sean McDonnell. Kelly was OC. His first HC job was at Oregon.

I was at every one, all great games, but my sentimental favorite is the 24-20 win over Sac State in 2000. Ricky Ray was QB for Sac, only a few minutes were left in the Fourth Quarter, when he was hit in the backfield (I think it was third down and a first down would likely seal the win) and he pitched to a RB -- and Damon Parker cut it off, caught it in the air, and returned it for a TD.

After being down 20-0 at half, the Griz defense shut Sac down in the second half, and then made a play to win the game. Ricky Ray was a great player who later played a lot of years in the CFL.

Chip Kelly was at New Hampshire for a long time. Like 15 years. Ohio State head coach Ryan Day played QB for Chip Kelly around the time we played New Hampshire in the playoffs.

Safety Greg Nygren's school record 94-yard interception return for TD
Sept. 24, 1988
MISSOULA, Mont. -- Safety Greg Nygren's school record 94-yard interception return for a touchdown with 1:34 left in the game Saturday lifted Montana to a 26-17 Big Sky Conference victory over Idaho. Nygren's interception of a John Friesz sideline pass came after the 2-1 Vandals, trailing 19-17, had driven to the Montana 10-yard line and appeared headed for the winning score. The score typified the contest in which Idaho's huge statistical advantage was offset by an opportunistic Grizzly defense that recovered three Vandal fumbles and intercepted four passes, returning two for touchdowns. Nygren broke a school record set in 1977 when Kelly Johnson returned an interception 90 yards against Portland State.
The Grizzlies powered to a 13-0 lead in the first period on a 52-yard interception return by Quintin Richardson and a 47-yard TD run by John Huestis. Idaho rallied on a 19-yard scoring pass from Friesz to David Jackson and a 37-yard field goal by Thayne Doyle, but Kirk Duce booted a 39-yard field goal to give the Grizzlies a 16-10 lead at halftime. Idaho rallied again taking a 17-16 lead in the fourth quarter on Bruce Harris' 1-yard TD plunge with 11:16 left. After an interception, the Grizzlies regained the lead on a 22-yard Duce field goal to set up Nygren's heroics. Friesz, who passed for 420 yards and one TD, and Harris, who rushed for 162 yards and a TD, led the Vandals.

I only voted for 4 because I can't believe you left off the 2008 cat/Griz game, vocal chords shot after 1st cat drive, best game and post-party EVER! Couldn't vote for the NDSU game as I sat in the hospital with my 1-day old son...hardest game to watch when you can't jump around and go nuts after that game. Great poll! You should do one for top 5 road wins, and maybe one for best playoff games.

2004 SHSU in the semis. Last time we tore down the goalposts. Ochs and Co. ran a wrecking crew through NW State, New Hampshire, and SHSU that year, and it was glorious. Still can’t believe we lost to JMU in the final that year.

Honorable mention to the 2015 beat down of the Bizon, because it gave us a few posters who can’t get over it, and that’s hilarious.

For those of us in the older crowd, the 1986 Cat-Griz game was glorious. They pretty much had our number for the previous decade, but this game made a statement that wouldn’t be refuted for 16 more years.
