As a good friend of some of the coaches, I know that they try to stay off e-griz and twitter. When I told them about the practice play-by-plays they weren't necessarily mad, but weren't happy about it either. Mainly they don't want trick plays, and even some regular plays to be put out there. And they don't get on here to be able to tell you that.
Coach D would probably be pissed though. ha. Did anyone else see him cuss out a guy at a practice for filming!?
It's nice to know what's going on at practices when you can't be there. You just have to be extra careful of what you put out there. Think like a coach when doing so..what is simple and ok, and what's too much detail and not ok to write.
Can't wait for Saturday.
Go Griz!
When you guys find any video of trick plays, different formations or even a particular player punting that isnt a punter............you just let me know. Until then if I want to put video up on my site I will until they close practices and then I might start using my RC plane HD cam. I dont shoot the entire practice or scrimmage just sections of them. I shoot every play one by one then go back and watch each of them before and after I edit them together, is something is trick or even a different line up I dont use it. There is no audio of formations or line calls if there is I get rid of it. The only audio I leave in is when TG goes off on the defense because its funny as hell to listen to.
There is nothing that an opposing team can use other than evaluating personnel. Its made to be generic and is no more informative than game film from last year.
This topic just proves why band guys should just read the boards and not post, you know nothing about the game and you wouldnt like it if those of us that know nothing about band would tell you where to put your oboe or your air guitar.
This whole topic is stupid
