Playoffs, what are your expectations?

I have no expectations. If we make it I will be happy, if not there are a lot more important things in life.

True. But it sure is nice to wake up on Saturday morning, have some coffee, have breakfast, then watch a Griz game. But its even better to head down to Hooligans or The Grandstand on a Saturday night and throw down some beer, ESPN, and Griz playoffs!! It's the only thing I like about the fall.

Not a high degree of confidence for success if we make it.....

If we get a weaker opponent, maybe we move on. I believe we have the players but do we have coaching leadership, passion and imagination to make it happen?

I doubt it...hope I am way wrong!

I think it's a mistake to talk about winning the next four. Injuries, and some confusion in what kind of offense we really have. We could lose at Sac state, find frustrations going to South Dakota, squeak by Weber, then drop another one to MSU. I hope like hell I'm wrong. But if this team's Griz spirit is up, we could peak at the right time. No more time for excuses.

Squeak by Weber at home, really? You do realize they have the statistically worst defense in FCS, right?

Exactly. Didn't UM a few years back go to ISU when UM was undefeated and ISU hadn't won a game (late season too)... and they needed a last second FG to win it? That would have gone down as the biggest league game upset in the history of the BSC.

WHEN coach D leaves, and I am NOT one of EGrizzers calling for his head, It should be a planned departure so that a search can be conducted over the appropriate amount of time. Meanwhile we need to do 2 things. 1) quit bitching and be greatful he saved our sorry ass from the Pat Williams/Gwen Florio/player misconduct (and I'm strictly talking about Beau D, and all those DUI, Domestic assault and bar fighting sorry sons-a-bitches) situation we had and that he has this team playing pretty well. 2) start figuring out how to supplement the coaches income (and I include Tinkle here). For what our eastern Montana rancher legislature and third world economy allows us to offer, we will be lucky to get anyone worth a damn here, and if we get lucky, they will be gone in two years as soon as they have padded their resume.

Our playoffs start this weekend. If we drop any of these next three games we have an up hill battle to make the playoffs. I think we win these next three and then we will see what happens from that point. These next four are winnable games for us.

Well, regarding respecting your opponent at any level, a few weeks ago, Sac State beat Southern Oregon (NAIA team in the Frontier) 63-56. A pretty fair NAIA team putting 56 points on FCS team? Ya never know. :?
