I am saying it is wrong, but I know you are most likely correct. I know the selection committee would and really the only true reason would be the money. Fairness and right mean nothing to the NCAA. It is and always be about the money. That is why they hammer FCS programs for minor infractions and slap BCS teams on the hand for major ones. They do not want to bite the hand that feeds them. In the FCS Montana feeds them. I get that. Do not always agree with it, but I do get it.
Cal Poly would have 3 top ten wins including a win over Montana. Montana would have one. They both would be 7-1 in the Big Sky. If they went strictly off resume Cal Poly should be seeded higher in the above scenario, but we all know they would not be. The playoff committee would justify it by saying Montana only has one loss to Cal Poly's two.
