First, I have never mentioned what the games may or may not have told me. Second, I did see and listen to his comments. You seem to play fast and loose with what you believe are facts and mold them to further your diatribe.
His comments where he blamed the whole team for lack of fire, the Cat game post-game presser where he blamed the team's youth, or the subsequent presser where he reversed and finally accepted personal responsibility? I do my research, and you don't do any, so we have inevitable differences of viewpoints.

He didn't blame the team. The only time he mentioned not playing with fire was against Northern Arizona and this was his response to why that was: "That’s my job. That’s what they pay me for is to work with these guys and help them have a chance and help them be successful. This isn’t an X and O thing. This is just wanting to go out and play football. It all runs downhill and starts with the head coach."
....he also said he would look to the upperclassmen and position coaches for help getting the team fired up when they are on the road. He said he never noticed an issue with the team not playing with "fire" at home.

Also, Ryan Johnson agreed with him: "It’s on us 100 percent. We just gotta make sure we’re ready to go when the bullets start flying, when that first snap happens and do our and jobs and make plays."

"Nothing but good to say?"

Are you out of your GD mind? Are they? Did you see what happened Saturday? You have no credibility if you think anyone can look at three team players that saw what has happened the last four games, including that one, and "have nothing but good to say." That's beyond delusional.

Experienced observers, players, coaches, etc. can see tangible evidence when a coach "loses" a team. If you review the comments over the past four games, in particular the comments from Stitt himself ("no fire," "been that way for a while"), but from any knowledgeable observer (and many have posted), the Griz have been "going through the motions."

The lack of intensity is exactly what happens when a team loses confidence in its coach. As one poster noted, Stitt hollering and screaming at players finally reached the ultimate destination: it didn't do any good. The kids are tired of it and don't care. There is no other way to explain how the UM Grizzlies can lose to a bunch of teenagers and a first year coach at WaGriz. The UM Football team stopped playing to win four games ago. Stop pretending.

Stitt took full responsibility. He described much of the criticism I have directed to him, and acknowledged it. You continuing to deny it simply looks idiotic. He and I agree, although he was pretty much in a corner of self-creation. What was his alternative? Odd that you continue to disagree with the coach you so admire. Kind of like Ferguson last December, right? Anybody that said that Stitt was not behind Gregorak 1000% was a Stitt-hater. Indeed, they might even have an agenda!! Gregorak was gone six days later.

Genius stuff.

Kyle was there, so I can't wait to see how 75 tells him he was wrong
In typical 75 fashion, he will never acknowledge Kyle or will use the "biased media" mantra.
Well, Kyle's the guy that tried to tell everybody that Stitt had been heavily recruited before accepting the position at Montana. Proceed accordingly.

Does anyone else see the irony in 75's post?

True, but that was right before Ryan commented on the play that sealed the loss for them by saying, "Somebody behind me didn't do their job." :coffee:

And before you slam me I don't blame the kid for saying that because he was right and he was frustrated. It just doesn't exactly scream team unity as others are suggesting. He probably should have just said something like, "I'm not sure if there was a miscommunication or a mistake in the backfield or what...."

Well, people are just going to have to judge for themselves why you write things like that and why you persist in it. It obviously colors your reporting.
Bob Stitt: "We came out just… flat. Didn’t play with any intensity. Didn’t match any of their intensity at all, and they outplayed us. Flat outplayed us.”
Our guys have to be mentally ready. We were not this past weekend.”
“Hopefully it wakes some guys up,” he said.
“We just didn’t come out with any type of fire and that’s been a problem for a while”
Apparently, it is just that difficult to identify who he is talking about there, and that he was not talking about the UM Football Team, but that "us," "we," "our guys," and "some guys" refers to people not on the team, and that it's "been a problem for a while," for people other than the football players.

OK. Call it a tough one, then, and people can disagree about who he was talking about.

Stating a problem that was readily apparent to anyone seeing the game(s), determining the reasons and placing blame are entirely different things. Seems to me Stitt is addressing the problem and laid out a fair amount of "blame" in his presser.

Question:

Speaking of bloated staff, Does UM know it is paying some of its excess staff and faculty members to spend the day on message boards, arguing with anyone who dares to disagree with them?

Nothing to see here.....

No, that wasn't when he said that. He said that in the days leading up to the Eastern Washington game

Also, I never reported that. 75 says I reported that, but can't furnish any stories or tweets where I said that. However, if you listen to Stitt's introductory press conference he does say that he was offered other jobs.

UNLV?

He was definitely offered jobs. He was offered all the best jobs from all the bigly programs.

Wait, I might have him confused with another guy.
