Oh so the setting up in the POWER I is the only thing that defines power running team? Sure the Cat's have other options. Why not use them to set up running between the tackles or vice versa? Don't be so jealous of the versatility.

So you think Oregon is a "power running team"? I got news for you, they aren't (not that I am saying the Bobcats = Ducks). Power running teams line up and jam the ball down your throat. MSU is not a power running team regardless of how you might like to re-define the term.

Not saying the Cat's are a PURE power run team. But they have that facet to their offense. In the last few weeks Cramsey has been bringing in Godecke as a 6th offensive linemen with Big T on his side in an unbalanced set (that's 2 linemen on one side and 4 on the other). Everyone in the stands knows that either Newell or Knight is getting the ball to that side and yet they do it anyway with success. Sure it's out of the shotgun but it's still down hill running.

OK, fair enough. We will see how the power running goes for the cats this weekend. It will be especially interesting to see the red zone rushing statistics. Cramsey is a smart dude and I'm telling you he will be utilizing a lot of short dump passes and screens. Some behind the lb's crossing routes and some fly sweeps. The zone reads will be limited and the TE will be used quite a bit..

Agree with the TE's being a huge factor. For that reason I'm glad Bleskin may be starting. Dakota hardly ever looked at Perkins or Tai.

MSU has a great o-line, so we can't just rush 4 all game and think that is good enough. We need to come out and hit them in the mouth early and not let that offensive line get comfortable. There has to be some big hits, like McSurty had a few years back, and Coyle had some big hits as well down there last year. We need a few hits like this, they fire everyone up. If our offense can score on their first drive that would help set a tone too.
