Pick the record- if the Griz were in the WAC

In all due respect, folks like 68 forget about the dismal array of opponents UM plays during the season..conference and non-conference. It seems that he is happy watching us destroy Ft. Lewis and Northern Colorado rather than playing Wyoming, Washington State. Maybe Dennison is right about UM fans being happy with our pitiful schedule. By the way....IdaGriz is correct....recruits do notice the schedule and so do their parents!

Being "bowl-eligible" for a game that means absolutely zilch is, to me, of little or no interest. I, for one, would far rather go to Chattanooga (and have done so on several occasions).

Have you been to a bowl game featuring UM before? How do you know which would be more fun or significant? I can definitely think of about 5 dozen destinations more attractive for a weekend trip than Chattanooga, but that's only one of the factors.

So can I and there isn't a bowelshite game played in any of them. Who gives a fu*k, the wac is a joke and the bcs sucks.

I call bullshite, everyone remembers who won the Championship, can you tell me who played in and won even %10 of the 37 bowel games last year w/o looking it up? I highly doubt it. The only people who care about %90 of those games are the two teams playing and barely then.

Yes, and we could be one of those teams supported by fans who care that we are actually playing a real team made up of better athletes, not to mention playing quality regular season teams....conference and non-conference. Don't you think that The WAC might be a bit better than The Big Sky?

Obviously they are not better teams or better athletes. Most of you move up guys are picking the Griz to beat the majority of the wac teams. Now what does that have to say about the quality of competition? I have to say not much. Do you really believe that 70+ teams should be in a playoff type game? What does that say about the Div? It remind me of the oft show on TV where they make fun of little kids sports not keeping score so no one feels bad. Pretty much the same thing here.

Most college football fans couldn't even tell you what FCS is, let alone who was their champion. "The only people who care about %90 of those games are the two teams playing and barely then." Attendance and TV viewing audience for nearly every if not every FBS bowl game exceeds the FCS NC game, most by a lot.

Anyone that thinks the WAC sucks should look at the last couple years where SJSU beat EWU when they were the #5 team in FCS and Idaho beat then ranked #3 Cal Poly and it was Idaho's only win of the year! Bahahahahaha! That's FCS, for every App. State/Michigan win there are 100 embarrassing losses to FBS. What was it last year 85 losses and 2 wins in the FCS verses FBS?

Mizzou over Northwestern in OT (and this was one of the nation's best offenses against a supposedly slow, slow BigTen team...just had to point that out)

Arizona over BYU
Georgia over Sparty
LaTech over NIU

Oh, almost forgot. I watched Cal beat The U (rooted for Miami)

Hawaii-Win (let's face it. The Rainbow Warriors are going to be in a down period for awhile...not as bad as when Fred VonAppen coached them back in the 90's, but they ain't gonna be a June Jones' era team, either)

NMSU-Win (No more Chase Holbrook to help them)

USU-Win (only way the Griz lose this game is if they play USU's Rugby team)

Idaho-Win (Duh...)

Fresno State-Win/Loss (this goes either way, because Fresno, say all you want about them taking big teams to the brink, still LOSES those games)

Nevada-Win/Loss (another one that goes either way)

Boise State-Loss (this appears to be unanimous on the boards, and no shame in admitting it. BSU is simply on a fantastic run right now)

LaTech-Loss (Derek Dooley has finally gotten this program off the ground and the Bulldogs are becoming a solid, bowl eligible team)

San Jose State-Win (They're almost in Idaho's and USU's league of failness)

Throw in the 2 patsies for OOC games and we're looking at either a 6 win season (if they lose to Nevada and Fresno) or even a 7 or 8 win season!

And bowl games and national exposure galore!

7-5 or 6-6 with our "present" team and 10 times more exciting games top to bottom than we play now. The only time we come close to a WAC game is against JMU or Cal Poly and a game occasionally with EWU or Weber. Now give Montana a couple years with 85 schollies and the ability to get recruits we LOSE now and we could get to 8-2 in the WAC no doubt. And with the consistency we have now too. This program is a winner and moving up a step wouldn't change that, only enhance it.

dont forget to add in all the recruits we have that we would lose if in the wac. and dont forget that the wac is stilll tough and we would be 4-6 in my opinion. and thats with some close games. i thnk we beat MSU AND Idaho for sure. but thats it for sure....

you underestamate the college football nations. most real fans know the FCS and the BCS. I talk to alot of BCS fans and they all know we played in the NC this year....and got pounded. LETS SEEE FRIDAY NIGHT ESPN>>>>>>>>>>or some tuesday/wed/thurs. on ESPNU or ALTITUDE......hmmm i wonder which gets more attention.
