This coming from a guy who said football is a boring game to watch.
You know, Hammer, I thought soccer was boring to watch, too, until the World Cup. I got interested in how the U.S. would do (watched the whole game). Went to Wikipedia to read up on the game. (I'd played it as a 5th grader 50 years ago in Spokane during recesses & noon & loved it, even tho we were just messing around. The family moved; I never went back.) After the U.S., I picked Germany, a top-notch team & amazed at the 4 South American countries still in the mix.
All I'm going to say is that the clock keeps running in soccer. Now, don't tell me to watch soccer, instead. Football gets horrifically hard to watch in the stands. Timeouts. Quarter breaks. Injury breaks. This break. That break. Stop the clock. What the hell? Let the clock run. To hell with the clock. If football needs 60 minutes per half, so be it. If football needs 70, etc., minutes per half, so be it. Let the damn clock run.
