This isn't about right and wrong. It's about quote-unquote fans calling out individual players...on a message board. That's a classless thing to do. Get out there and field punts yourselves. Or shut the hell up.

Any opinions on Brett Kirschner??
Yes... Let's start a thread. The kid is a smasher. Northern Colorado's strength was those two BIG inside LB's... and Brett was bending them over backwards and running over people. And we burnt Counts' "red-shirt" cuz Dan was injured???... Crap All Mighty, Kirsch is Moore-Lite. It's another case of Shiny Bobble annointment over football talent.

I couldn't agree with you more! I thought maybe it was just me seeing this and I should have posted this as a new thread. Sorry bout that, I'm the new guy here. But yes, I seen him running guys over and making big plays!! And smart plays too like when he knew the hole collapsed, instead of burning a down and gettin stuck with 3 (maybe) he pitched it back and got the 6. I was sold from that point on with this young star. I really hope they get him out there during the UND game. Or maybe a combo of him and Moore running when he heals up. If we're gonna be a running team, let's be a running team!! My dad always said, "If you're gonna be a bear, you might as well be a Grizzlie."

These coaches are unable or unwilling to admit mistakes. They get more stubborn the more their errors are pointed out. That means Kirsh won't play now and Pete will. :?

Pony, I think you nailed it. Unwilling to admit mistakes. Just because the head coach says, "it's on me" doesn't mean he believes it.

Allweather you got to be kidding me?? Really a 22 year old can't be called out? That's like 5 years after being eligible to die for his country. I think Pete is a grown man by now let him take the beating. I guarantee his life will go forward unfettered.

I agree Savage. Hell my coaches (basketball), teachers and my Dad called me out when I was in high school. Know what? I learned from it and focused on the things I was called out for.

I love how people are more than willing to bash Delaney and wouldnt think of doing the same thing when Hauck was here. The majority of you dick rode that guy into the Alamo.

Could this be age discrimination?

Really? They "called you out" on an anonymous message board? How did you know it was them?

PlayerRep, you obviously are a lot "closer" to the program than I am. Can you let us know who has put the ball on the ground more times than Peter the last 3 seasons? I shook his hand on the field after the Central Arkansas game last year and have seen him interviewed on the "coaches show". From what I see he is a nice guy, respectfull, and hardworking. He is a good ambassador for Grizzly football I am sure. That being said should he continue to field punts given his problems with muffing it. I think he is enough of a team player to be ok with the coaches giving someone else a shot back there. Not trying to bash him, I felt bad for the guy every time he has fumbled. I'm sure no one feels worse about it than he does. Anyway I believe you said 8 fumbles and Alpha says 17. Let's say 8 like you stated. Isn't that still a lot of fumbles for one guy in 2 1/2 seasons? Did Lex, Yo or Chase put it on the ground that many times and they each had a lot more carries than Peter has to this point, I would guess.

They are only fumbles if the other team recovers.............that is why "ThePRape" uses the lower number.

Nguyen has played almost 4 seasons, not 2.5. Nguyen got a reasonable number of touches as a frosh. He has been a running back, receiver, punt return and kickoff returner at various times. No one on the team has had close to the number of touches he's had during that time. Yes, 8 fumbles is too many (but 8 isn't even have of 17). Lex didn't return punts or kicks. Chase didn't return too many punts or kicks. Didn't look, but am sure that neither had 8 fumbles in their careers. Did Chase have 2 in his last Cat game? Has Moore had 3 this season, while not having played the last several weeks? Should Moore continue to be given the ball when he returns? I definitely think so. Canada has had fumbles, without nearly the number of carries as the others. Should he be given the ball? I definitely think so. As for whether Nguyen should continue to return punts, I defer to the coaches. Since they continued to have him returning punts on the last game after the fumble, I assume he will continue to return punts. However, if another good option materialized this week in practice, maybe they will work in a new person.

What games are you men watching? I have not witnessed a fumble all season. It is not true. It is a ploy to make our next oponent guess our game plan.

AGAIN.

How much longer can Player Rep and Brinty defend this guy? He is a liability. Ellis Henderson and Chase Naccarato deserve a chance to return punts. Jordan Canada needs to be our primary ball carrier. End of story. I dare you jock sniffers to try and prove me wrong. Player Rep please use a proper IRAC format or I will not consider your shitty pleading.

Agree Nguyen is a consistent liablility that we cannot afford. But Nacarado? So you like the way he returns kickoffs to the 17 going down when the first shadow appears (and also has a fumble)? Let's face it, we're fresh out of Marianis.

I would give a healthy Haynes a shot; at least he has the right number.
