It’s ridiculous how many studs we’ve got on that side of the ball. When bohannon gets going he looks great. Deck, deaver, brooks……Hendrix might just catch fire here these next couple of weeks. He’s shown flashes. It’s my favorite offense in a good long while. Just need the defense to improve ever so slightly.

It has nothing to do with a difference of opinion. It's because some people are right, some people are wrong (and don't understand football), and some people say totally stupid things. Some people, like yourself, try to justify your getting called out for saying incorrect things, by trying to say it's a difference of opinion. No, mostly you and others are just plain wrong fairly often on your football analysis. Jeez, everyone on the board who understands football sees the same dumb things that I do; they're just to nice to point them out.

It's not a difference of opinion on whether the Griz D is bad or not. The Griz D is, objectively, not bad. the D just isn't. The D is generally good. Not perfect. Only dominant at times. Getting better and more consistent. If we get Loud back, I will be happy.

I said nothing about my playing days in this thread. I pointed out that some of you are dead wrong, and you are. Others are now starting to say the same thing as I am. I don't care if you care what I say, but I'm going to keep pointing out the incorrect stuff you and others say. That's my job.

Feel free to keep saying incorrect things about football and the Griz. I like pointing out your mistakes.

Okay, on $100 for this year's Griz/Cat. I didn't ever bet you in 2022 or any other time. Let's bet $100 that you can't find any post where we agreed to be in 2022. Want to do that bet too? You will see I am finding the thread. You were running your mouth as usual, just like you do every year ahead of Cat Griz. It might have been the 2019 game.

Some of your “expert” prognostications were priceless before the 2022 game and I bet they were last year too.

I think too many that are critical of our D judge our D as if 2025 is a normal year, normal schedule.

The problem is isn't--2025 is an anomaly for us with 12 regular season games in a row and no bye !!! And because of that, our D is a bit different with heavy substitutions in the second half when we have a big insurmountable lead, which has led to some garbage-time TD's for our opponents--Idaho, Sac. State--that makes these games appear closer than they actually were and also negatively effects our D's stats.

But I would argue that these heavy D substitutions during the second halves of some of our games has been necessary given our bye-free schedule so that we don't limp into the Brawl and the playoffs with an exhausted, beat-up, depleted defense !!!
 
Agree the D is looking better. Better tackling, better pursuit angles, better bracketing of the edge receiver when they are containing before making the tackle or running the receiver out of bounds. The one thing that was off today, was the timing of the blitzes in pressure packages which led to a lot of the offsides. The players and coaches will work on it and get it better. These coaches know how to coach and the fact that the Griz are 9-0 when they haven't played anywhere near their best football game should have everyone ecstatic. When the boys put it together, watch out! I'm predicting it all comes together on November 22. Also need to add D is showing better man coverage on the outside.
