Problem for msu is they don't play again until Nov. 9th. They only thing they will have to hang they're hat on is the fact they beat a team that beat The Griz. Let they're chest beating begin. :roll:

NDSU is going to survive a scare from UNI. They got the ball back.

4th and out. UNI has the ball on their own 34, about 1:30 to go.

I was at the game NDSU got lucky third and long final scoring drive threw an incomplete pass then someone on defense line got called for a personal foul hands to the face. Move the chains. Then on a third and long threw through a pass in the end zone the Bison draped all over the defensive guy, would have been intercepted if not for that. Flag thrown and the call is defensive pass interference. Horrible call, as even some Bison fans around us said.

Every team gets beat by Brock Jensen running the draw play many times throughout the game for first downs and more.

Great game, a couple of injuries with one UNI guy carted odd the field.

The hands to the face was an easy call for the ref. The ref was about 4 yards from the guy, and you can see the offensive lineman's head get cranked to the side.

On the PI penalty, it was on a 2nd and 4, not third and long, and the ref was already grabbing his flag when Vraa (the NDSU receiver) was reaching over the defender. I thought it was a horrible call at first as well, but after re-watching it, you can see the UNI defender bump into Vraa as Vraa slowed down for the pass. The contact was made at about the 1 yard line as the UNI defender was turning his head around. After that, Vraa did reach over the top of the defender to prevent the interception, but the flag was already being thrown.

Cats played well today and are a different team with McGhee. The flat out handed NAU their lunch and the Jacks didn't know what to do. I think part of it was they were so fired up for Montana but MSU is good.

Funny that you say that, McGhee had probably one of his worst games as a Cat today, he threw 7 for 18, 0 TD's and 1 Int, he did rush for one TD and had a couple typical McGhee magic tricks but he had several broken plays that were not good.

They look like a different team with his presence. When Bleskin was playing they did not have the same fire/confidence. McGhee had a poor game but brings a lot to the team by being on the field.

Or more importantly, McGhee gets the offense in the right play almost every time. He had an off day, but he reads defenses better than anyone we've ever had.

McGhee is THE backbone of the bobcat program both physically and psychologically. Four years now he has carried the cats on his shoulders and without him in the lineup the cats are a mediocre team. I am concerned the cat coaches recognize this are have McGhee in way too soon and his next shoulder injury permanently end his football career at any level.
I honestly do think the cats have benefited from playing teams the week after the Griz have played them. I do not know who sets the conference schedule but it would be a good idea to stop this practice. How about reversing it and allowing the Griz to play teams the week after the cats?

I agree DM is the backbone, and unfortunately our team does not seem to play as well when it's JB leading them, even though he's proven to be a very good QB (300+ passing yards in his first two and only starts). Now as for which team (UM or MSU) is worse when their starting QB isn't in there, that's debatable.
