For all the kitty cat fans boasting about beating NAU, and us getting beat by them: We lost the game ourselves. The performance we brought (poor execution) was not Griz football. If we would have not had those terrible turnovers for TD's, and been able to contain NAU's offense early (like we usually do against a BSC team), the game would have been totally different. Just cannot wait till The Brawl of the Wild to show some pussy cats what we're made of! GO GRIZ!!

But if we had scored more points we would have won…WTF!! You have to be one of the stupidest people on this effing planet!! Your account should be banned until you get off crack and at least get your GED.

Dat Griz hangover

NAU was tired from stomping us...

I think I see how this works. Let's see... so you lost to NAU because you laid it all on the line against Oklahoma Panhandle State University and didn't have any gas left in the tank? Did I get that right?

Yeah, Montana got rolled on by the Vikings today, they don't stand a chance against MSU this year.

You CANNOT be this stupid. The griz (off game or not) got mud stomped by NAU and the Cats absolutely destroyed them one week later. NAU wouldnt even have scored without a pick-6. Baumann held to 26 yards rushing. SMFH...

If its not true... then educate us on the last time UM played a good to great team a week after msu....

Hmmmm....some people's kids....

And because you're a better team than NAU, the FCS should just count it as a win? I mean uofmman1122 said you were a better team. That has to count for something, right?

Maybe you should file a protest with the NCAA and get that L turned into a W. Sounds like a legit case to me.

Cats played well today and are a different team with McGhee. The flat out handed NAU their lunch and the Jacks didn't know what to do. I think part of it was they were so fired up for Montana but MSU is good.
Funny that you say that, McGhee had probably one of his worst games as a Cat today, he threw 7 for 18, 0 TD's and 1 Int, he did rush for one TD and had a couple typical McGhee magic tricks but he had several broken plays that were not good.

They look like a different team with his presence. When Bleskin was playing they did not have the same fire/confidence. McGhee had a poor game but brings a lot to the team by being on the field.

If you beat yourself like you did against NAU does the loss count or is it more of a tie??

Careful, you need to bring it back a notch or two otherwise you're just going to confuse them.

Nice win for you guys today over Portland State. Nice rebound from last week. I didn't get on here to talk smack but for some of you to say the Cats win was due to the hangover from your game last week is small. I talked to one of the parents of an NAU player last night in the bar and they said that game gave them confidence this week and they were sky high to beat the Cats. Well, the Cat's totally dominated them today. The Cats offensive line played like what was expected of the Griz, opening holes all day. We ran all over them today. The Cat defense that many of you kept saying was terrible , especially against the run, shut them out. Bauman ends up with 26 yds rushing and 42 yds total. Their only TD was an interception return. They did not even come close to a TD on our defense.

Yes, the Griz played like krap last week and most of you realize that. It's not because it's a bad team. It is because they had a letdown. These are kids and this stuff happens sometimes. You guys bounced back today like the Cats did against NDU. You guys have a very good team. But, the Cat's do too. The CAt's won today because they came out with a great game plan and were totally prepared and executed well. The conference is much stronger this year. I wish you guys success until the last game of the season against the Cats. It is shaping up to be a great season for both teams.

Such a nice change of pace to see level-headed, logical, reasonable posts such as this. Kudos to you :thumb:

My bad. WAY too much math for these baboons.

We should probably try to buy out the Cat game. It's over.

OMG, i almost forgot about that....

Shouldn't the scatz have 1 more loss on there record?

I think by definition that would make you? Scarred little girls?

McGhee is THE backbone of the bobcat program both physically and psychologically. Four years now he has carried the cats on his shoulders and without him in the lineup the cats are a mediocre team. I am concerned the cat coaches recognize this are have McGhee in way too soon and his next shoulder injury permanently end his football career at any level.
I honestly do think the cats have benefited from playing teams the week after the Griz have played them. I do not know who sets the conference schedule but it would be a good idea to stop this practice. How about reversing it and allowing the Griz to play teams the week after the cats?

Great show of class. We all know how important DMac & JJ are to our respective teams...but no need to bring the trial back up. He was acquitted...& remember how things were for us a few short years ago. Glass houses man.....

Here's the difference in the UM / MSU games with NAU.

MSU recognized the back end of NAU's defense to be very good and did not attack them. UM threw deep passes with little success.

MSU recognized the lateral speed of NAU's front 7 and only tried 2 sweeps that were tackled for losses. Everything else was downhill power, and counter running. We ran right through the heart of their defense and demoralized them. UM got behind and abandoned the run too soon. And when they did run, it was to the outside, which didn't get very far.

We had a good game plan, you didn't. Bottom line.

WOW. It's this type of stuff that makes NDSU not want to play UND ever. When NDSU won their first championship there were people saying its because the Griz showed them how to play. Somewhat offensive but no where near the trash you just spewed.

That was when NAU was on defense, but when NAU was on offense both teams used essentially the same game plan, but MSU executed better

Good point Chet! Is sounds like the difference came down to ... coaching. Delaney was clearly out coached against NAU and Jerome was tutored at the U of MT. I really hope Delaney doesn't get hammered like that again because we have way too much talent on the field to waste.

Delaney out coached.... Yeah like that ever happens.

Yep, I'll agree to that too. MSU front 7> UM front 7.
