Other FCS Games (Nov 23): Some Crucial

Liberty 56 Charleston Southern 14.
Final. Liberty now (potentially) joins the discussion at 8-4. But actually, I don't think they do -- but they may have just knocked Chas So out of an at-large bid

New Hampshire knocking off #4 Maine, as many expected, opens the door for the Griz. Now they just have to get their f***in' act together and take advantage of the opening. :x

Furman beats Wofford to put themselves in the running for the SOCON AQ. Elminating Samford's chances for an AQ, by the way.

If Samford beats Elon, Furman will take the AQ.

If Samford loses, Chattanooga takes the AQ.

Lafayette got a big run-back on the opening kickoff and went on to score against #17 Lehigh. Then they held Lehigh and have driven down into the red zone.
As you likely know, Lafayette wins that game and we have the first team ever in the playoffs with a losing record on the season.
Lehigh staging a 4th-Q comeback to close to 28-36, but Lafayette got another good (38 yard) run-back. Then a long bomb got them another score, so they lead 43-28 with less than 8 min to go.

Wow: 40 yard return of a fumble recovery ... Lafayette leads 50-28. You have to give the Leopards credit. Last week they knocked off Fordham, which was ranked #5. Now they're kicking the crap out of the #17 team in the country. Be thankful the Griz shouldn't have to face a team (losing record or not) that's on such a roll. :o

I was watching the scores for a lot of games, and worrying about the ramifications of this or that 3- or 4-loss team. :D :D :D
But the Griz made most of all that irrelevant by winning. :thumb:

I still can't imagine the Big Sky getting two top-4 seeds ... so I guess I really will have to root for PUSs, uh, Portland State. What has the world come to? :o

The Samford/Elon game has some huge AQ implications going down to the wire.

Elon leads 29-27 with 6 minutes left. A Samford win means Furman takes the AQ. Elon wins, and Chattanooga takes the AQ.

Richmond (out of the playoff picture at 5-6) leads William & Mary (7-4), 31-13, early in the 4th quarter. Giving W&M that 5th loss could be really important.

Touchdown Samford! And the Paladins are dancing in Greenville!

Samford maybe an at-large? You'd think in over Chattanooga with the head to head win.
