1. Nevada quit at half time and Oregon had something to prove:
"Dom Peterson, who had four tackles and Nevada’s only sack of the game, felt his team quit in the second half of the onslaught.
“They (Oregon) had to prove – I guess they lost to Auburn – I guess they had to prove to people that they’re still a championship-contending team," Peterson said. “I’m just mad that it was us. I feel like we could’ve done way better. I personally think we gave up at half, which is something I’ve never seen from our team, ever, from last year to now. I was more disappointed than anything in the fact that we gave up because I know we could do better.”
2. "Nevada coach Jay Norvell was complimentary of Oregon, saying the Ducks secondary will be the best the Wolf Pack face and the size, speed and depth of UO’s roster was impressive."
3. Stadium not intimating: "Norvell, who played defensive back at Iowa from 1982-85, felt some of his team’s younger players were wide-eyed playing in front of the 50,920 at Autzen Stadium, though he didn’t personally find it that intimidating."

4. Some injuries: "One of the bright spots that came out of Nevada’s 77-6 loss to Oregon on Saturday was the fact the Wolf Pack came out of the game relatively healthy. Yes, several players, including quarterback Carson Strong and running back Toa Taua got dinged up, but there weren’t any major injuries suffered by Nevada.
Linebacker Maliek Broady was in a boot during Monday’s practice and didn’t suit up and long snapper Karson Thomas also was held out, but coach Jay Norvell was optimistic about their chances of playing against Weber State"
5. "Hamish McClure, a redshirt freshman transfer from Sac State, got the call to sub in for Strong. McClure is the son of Nevada’s offensive line coach, Angus McClure, and wasn’t cleared by the NCAA to play this season until Friday afternoon."
