One Woman's View

I have a little bit different take on this. I think if you want to teach your kids decency and respect, you can't do it in a lecture format. You can only do it by example. So if you want to teach your sons to respect women, the best way is to try to set an example by demonstrating respect towards their mother.

Totally, totally agree. And respect toward all women.

Most high school students are having recreational sex.

Actually that is not correct. Fewer than half (46.8% to be exact) engage in sex during high school. of that (minority) 75% are having have sex in a traditional dating relationship. Of the 25% left only 60% are engaged in what traditionally is called casual sex, The other 40% (or about 6% of total teenagers) falls in the category of nonconsensual or "mistake)

If you want to break that down, thats, 5% engaged in recreational sex.

What about all the "rainbow parties"? Does that count as recreational sex?

Rainbow Parties! you gotta be kidding that was urban myth 10 years ago when Oprah brought the quack on her show that was talking about it.....

Beside Bill Clinton said that sort of thing wasn't sex. Besides in reality how many teen boys could last for one ring let alone a "rainbow"

Plenty of middle school kids are having recreational sex. Parents who think their kids would not ever do that are delusional.
